The Claimant has not identified the specific conduct said to constitute a contravention, offering only a vague reference to a breach of signage terms relating to “authorised parking.”
My only question is:does the POC say that?

(If your longer version doesn't quite fit in MCOL just shorten or remove the final paragraph, which is optional really),
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies I thought I had shared the entire POC. Here it is. I have not outwardly denied being the driver at the time (nor have I admitted) as I would rely on me being the actual driver in the event of needing WS, as "authorised" can mean lots of things, I use a gym on the site of the alleged contravention and in this case could argue "authority" by way of a contract with a business on the land (all of which is the same landowner) basically there are sections of the car park we are permitted or not permitted to park (some bits have signs and some bits not), along with word of mouth and signage in the gym stating to not park in front of the one office between the hours of 6pm to 7am so to any reasonable person the permitted parking on the site is as clear as mud.

      Horizon using Gladsrones ??? WOW
Just part of the musical chair game of so called legals ?

All these legals add a FAKE charge and they all call it differebt names.  Gladstones are calling it  ... CONTRACTUAL ?
    DCBL CALL IT DAMAGES
Others call it debt collection or admin charges

Gladstones are scamming you for a fake charge. Judges do not like FAKERS

The sign does not say contractual charges unless it is in the tiny print which nobody can read.   Horizon signs are used by legals all with different reasons to add a FAKE, AS ABOVE.
They are all utter crap which judges know
TOTALLY AGAINST THE SUPREME COURT RULING

Horizon always use Gladstones recently, as shown in the linked page where I've collated some examples. All with a random tenner extra, plus of course the fake £70 fee.

POC was dated 17/12, defence submitted today well with the allowed time frame (i believe) AOS was done on the 2/1. Now to get my WS sorted 😊 i wanted to ask however , if this gets to court can they demand more monies than is requested in the POC ? I ask as i have heard of some pushy mediation stories and want to be sure that i have the facts as i fully intend not to cave and give in to them !!!

They can ask for whatever they like, usually the advocate fee, regularly denied

If you lost in court,  the typical loss is around £212 for a single pcn,  not the fairy stories on the claim form

Do not assume that your case will progress to a hearing,  or that you might lose

Read a few recent Gladstones cases,  including that recent failure by them against another member here

Thank you! Just preparing for the worst case scenario so they can't "tempt" me with lower offers 🤣. I will keep you all updated, I'm anticipating a rejection of my defence by them and more hot air but determined to stick to my guns here.

If you mean the Claim form issue date was 17/12/25 then: -
With an issue date of 17/12/25 and having completed the AoS in a timely manner your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 19/01/26
What do you mean they will reject your defence?  Presume you submitted via MCOL and can see on your status page that it has been accepted.

All submitted in time. I meant Gladstones will still push to proceed in an attempt to intimidate me, it's how they make their money. And yes all done via MCOL and acknowledgement that the defence has been received this morning. So I just wait and log in to check the status ?
