Thanks both. Got a horrible feeling they’re going to make me fight for it, and I’m just not in the mood tonight. Sure I’ll be back ready tomorrow though.

I’ve finally finished A Court of Silver Flames. It was a long one! It was written from a different character’s viewpoint and I liked the change in content. It was emotional and darker in places (I often wanted to give the main character a good shake) also unpredictable in parts and particularly ‘spicy’ in others. I thoroughly enjoyed it but have an imposed break now from the series until the next one is released at the end of October. I’d rate it 10/10. I’ll be getting it for my birthday early November so will need to begin something new in the meantime.

Have been awoken early by the party boy. Today is going to be a long day with the level of excitement we have here today 🙈.

We have everything we need for later this morning I think, but the way to Mum’s road is closed which means we’re going to have to allow for a longer detour to try and get her picked up.

I’ve had a sale of £7 on eBay overnight, still need to post the V parcel and have 99p cashed out on TCB. I’ve also remembered that we should get £25 deposit refunded for the village hall once we’re finished with it so by the skin of my teeth (and some MSE fairy dust) we won’t be overspent by £35 any more 😮‍💨.

He’s had a wonderful day and the party was great. Calm as you could hope for with a lot of 5/6 year olds together but the entertainer was a dream and had them eating out of her palm. The other parents said how much they’d enjoyed it and the children were a really nice bunch. All in all, I’d say it was a success.

Eldest has his big audition/training day tomorrow for the acting job he’s hoping to get. Next weekend will be completely chilled out if I get my way!
