Just received a message to say I'm not eligible as I opened the account before the switching campaign began. This is incorrect (I opened it on 19th Jan), so I've complained.

Switch completed on the 5th of Feb. Bonus received today, 3rd of Mar.

Re-reading the original T&Cs, it says the bonus will be paid within 40 working days, this equates to about 8 weeks.
Also noticed that the latest switch offer requires you to spend at least £100 on your debit card to qualify for the bonus, whereas the offer ending 3/2 didn't have this stipulation.
On another note, I had the £5 monthly fee deducted from my account today, despite having paid in over £2000 in both February and March. Am I right in thinking that they always deduct the fee each month and then return it if you've paid in £2000? I.e. should I just be patient and wait for £5 to be returned to my account tomorrow? And is this the fee for February or March? (Opened the account late January, no £5 fee deducted in February)

- First month is fee-free. 2. Yes, be patient.

Thanks. I wouldn't have noticed had I not needed to go into the app to transfer some money.
I reckon Lloyds could make it clearer that the £5 fee is taken and then refunded. This isn't explicitly on the product page, so people might inadvertently dip into their overdraft for a short spell.

If you click on your £5 debit transaction, there’s a helpful message
I always cycle the required minimum sum through on the first of a month, and have always received the refund without fail on the same day as they debited the fee. There are usually a few hours between debit and credit

Thanks. First time for me, so I thought I'd messed up with the dates somehow. It's already been refunded.
Still no switching bonus though, but my switch was quite late (6th Feb) so I'm nowhere near 40 working days yet.

Seen the same yesterday evening - and instead of both -/+ £5 happening at the same time, the refund takes about 10 minutes to appear on my Club Lloyds. So while wasting time arguing with their (rather useless) CS in the chat that I had the £2000 in during Feb and should not be charged the fee, the refund took place.

If you leave Club Lloyds (e.g. downgrade to classic) part-way through the month, but have already paid in £2,000, presumably at the start of the next month there is a £5 credit without a £5 debit?
