Now Broadband up for renewal. Time to move to Full Fibre

I've been putting this off for a long time now but my, what used to be cheap, Now Broadband FTTC broadband is up for renewal next month and even if I get a deal to stay with what I'm paying currently it will still be more than some full fibre packages. I'm currently paying £27 for their 63Mbps service.
City Fibre was installed along the pavement a few months ago but won't be available for some time yet so I'm probably looking at getting one of the Openreach 150 Mbps deals which are cheaper for what I'm paying currently but most will rise in April and again next year. What are the good deals around for full fibre at the moment that don't have price rises coming up or at least offer a good deal to negate them? I'm currently looking at Sky because they don't have a price increase listed but if they later do I can at least cancel mid contract and go elsewhere. I think they are currently £26 per month for Sky 150 plus £80 voucher and £79 cashback if via TCB.

Is Openreach FTTP available as well as the yet-to-be-activated City Fibre?0

If they are looking at 150Mb which is faster than what FTTC can provide , alongside the lack of Gfast suppliers, suggests Openreach FTTP must be available1

I'd agree, but isn't it unusual to have 2 FTTP providers on a single street?iniltous said:If they are looking at 150Mb which is faster than what FTTC can provide , alongside the lack of Gfast suppliers, suggests Openreach FTTP must be available0 -
It is indeed.flaneurs_lobster said:Is Openreach FTTP available as well as the yet-to-be-activated City Fibre?0 -
Not unusual at all, City Fibre and Openreach FTTP are often in the same areas. TBH, I wish it wasn't the case as CF have made a right ugly mess of the pavement on our road.flaneurs_lobster said:

We have OR fttp and VM now an Alt. BRSK have used OR trunking and poles a few weeks back.
Also City Fibre and Netomnia have said previously they too will be providing their Alt networks.0 -
OR have by far the biggest FTTP network, almost every Alt Net leeches onto Openreach ducts and poles via PIA , so two networks in many places where OR will be one if them will be very common ,after all OR are not going to not use their own infrastructure just because a parasite got in first , as the OP apparently seems keen to wait for CF rather than use Openreach , and stated CF installed their network a few months ago but isn’t available to order , and seems to somehow know CF won’t be available to order for some months , and given that they are considering a speed (150Mb ) that won’t be noticeably faster than FTTC , it odd that waiting for CF seems to be a consideration, at modest speeds CF is similarly priced to OR based providers and of hyperfast download speeds are not necessary (if 150 Mb is sufficient) presumably symmetric upload isn’t a deal breaker, so it seems odd to me why wait an unspecified time for CF0

iniltous.
Surprised City Fiber set their Alt network up and not providing services.
My street Alt BRSK as they installed their network to the top of the OR pole asked householders would they like to go over to them and those who said yes were connected that day.0 -
Report them then, all utilities have to reinstate to the same (required) standard.shiraz99 said:

I think you may have misread my post. At no point did I infer that I was keen to wait for CF, I just mentioned the fact that they are some time away to rule them out as an available option for recommendations.iniltous said:OR have by far the biggest FTTP network, almost every Alt Net leeches onto Openreach ducts and poles via PIA , so two networks in many places where OR will be one if them will be very common ,after all OR are not going to not use their own infrastructure just because a parasite got in first , as the OP apparently seems keen to wait for CF rather than use Openreach , and stated CF installed their network a few months ago but isn’t available to order , and seems to somehow know CF won’t be available to order for some months , and given that they are considering a speed (150Mb ) that won’t be noticeably faster than FTTC , it odd that waiting for CF seems to be a consideration, at modest speeds CF is similarly priced to OR based providers and of hyperfast download speeds are not necessary (if 150 Mb is sufficient) presumably symmetric upload isn’t a deal breaker, so it seems odd to me why wait an unspecified time for CF0
