From my last update having half started the deep cleaning of 3 room, 2 (dining and living room) are now completely finished, I’ve started on the mountain of clothes in the bedroom although the bathroom is another days problem. Tomorrow I have plans and work to do so will be a maintenance day for the most part

The Christmas tree is boxed, the lights carefully wound around a piece of stiff board with 'V's cut in each end - December me will heartily thank January me for the care taken, and the baubles are in the box.
But i wore myself out swimming so I save most of my energy for prepping tea. In true Valli style though I have made 2 cottage pies - one will go into the freezer for another day.
I also did some ironign.

Welcome to newbies.
I've been skim-reading posts but haven't actually posted for a while so as you don't want my life activities for the past 2 weeks, I'll shut up. I will just say that I've had 3 lovely outdoor swims lately; sun and sea at Milford-on-Sea on Boxing Day; a slightly chilly lake on NY Day and an ice-breaking but sunny dip on Saturday (1st ice swim this year and 1st ice swim without a wetsuit!).
- Today, after surveying the sprinkling of snow we had overnight, I went to DanceFit.
- On the way home I stopped to join 2 other ladies in taking down the church decorations. It's so cold in there that some of the flower arrangements are still fairly ok so I will consolidate the best bits to make a new one.
- Caught up with a few emails. I need to list what I need to do this month as I'm going to forget, still can't get my head round what day it is.
- Went to Alexander lesson.
- I'd taken our cards and some decs down late last night and Mr N had continued today. Almost all done now and some boxes have gone into the loft already.
- went to zumba. My legs ache now, having done a fairly good sloth impression for the last couple of weeks.
Pleased to say that my gatepost knitted snowman was not only not stolen but survived weather well in the last 3 weeks. I've removed his stuffing for easy packing so I can use him next year.

It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.9 -
Morning everyone. Hope you're all doing okay.
I don't know what's come over me, maybe just feeling better, but so far this morning I've changed the sofa throws and they've finished washing, cleaned the microwave and all appliances big and small in the kitchen, wiped all unit fronts and sorted out another two cupboards throwing away one mug as I did so. It wasn't chipped but the design was wearing away.
I'm having breakfast now then I'll get dressed, change bedding and then walk Poppet.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning All,
It was GS day yesterday and no DD2 so I had to play all day. He was grumpy due to not sleeping during the night so with that and him not wanting to go and see my parents we stayed at home.
Luckily that bathroom wasn't too back. I just need to put some cleaner down the loo before I go out later so it can work it's magic.
I also managed to get the DW on.
Today, I've unloaded the DW, put the WM on with a load, sort through some tatty undies and socks and bin them.
I've also put away all the toys that got left out yesterday.
I'm now going to have coffee number 2 and do an emergency operation on a crocodile glove puppet who's stuffing is coming out.

Morning all, Slight change of plan for me today as we have had some snowfall overnight and the sky is still looking rather heavy, which has made it difficult to get out of my road (I stay on a farm).
My list for today
Do dailies
Do some uni work, I can't get into lectures, but there is still some work that I can do
Do volunteer admin
Do some paid stuff
S&S bathroom
HHI
Take DD to the stables to feed and check on her pony, or message friend to see if she can do the evening visit if we still can't get out.
Stay calm and keep warm, nothing I can do about adverse weather
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday.

Well done Mum of Just Two.It's Belovéd's birthday today so we're focused on him and what he wants for the whole day, and as it's Twelfth Night we're gently taking Christmas to bits. I've returned the crabapples to the shrubbery for the insects and to feast on and chucked the ivy in the garden bin, so that's one thing dealt with. I'll never buy another wreath; pulling strings of ivy off walls and making them into a circle which I then decorated with crabapples was by far the prettiest wreath we've ever had on the front door and took about 20 minutes to make start to finish. Garden string is wonderful stuff. The oven will be on later to cook some homemade dog treats (oat flour, sardines, sweet potato) so we'll bung Belovéd's quiche in there later - he treated himself to some M&S goodies yesterday so we can feast on them tonight. Which solves 'What are we going to eat tonight?' rather neatly.I've also dusted, vacummed and cleaned the bath properly so I'm feeling very virtuous.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.8

Happy Birthday to Mr Honey_Bear
Decs are down and boxed. One box has been brought upstairs. Many years ago I bought small boxes which can lock shut and they are easy to get in and out of the loft. Flingage will be the Vallikids art work and school books which were in the loft and have suffered from damp etc. One armful has already made it to the black bin.
Have collected Trigger-the-cat's meds from the vet and was pleased to notice SD's house smelled much fresher - I hadn't told him he needed to empty the cat litter tray completely at least once a week and wash it out...I'd rather assumed he would realise that. Took SD shopping.

Happy birthday, Mr HB. I hope you both had a lovely day.
I had a hair cut appointment this morning, so of course it started to snow thick and fast about 15 minutes before I had to leave. Luckily it stopped although the snow had settled, but I got there and back ok. The roads in big town were ok, up here the Council mostly forgets about us so driving up and down the hills is always “fun”.
The afternoon was spent putting a second coat on the paintwork upstairs and on the stairs while it was still light. My flying has been limited to wm x 1, WUDUPA x 2, QHI, then I decided to run a clean on both the dw and wm. Real flying at last! Although the bathroom is still queuing for attention and don’t look too closely at the kitchen.
Dinner is bubbling in the sc, so an easy meal coming up.8
