Morning all, a big grey this morning but at least it isn't foggy which is what was forecast although there may be a bit over the river but no need to go that way today (hopefully!). DH needs to phone the emergency number after 9 this morning as his eye is painful and feels as though another stitch may have come undone so we might yet again end up at Maidstone hospital!
Edit: he's phoned and got an appointment for 1.30pm so back to Maidstone again!
We had the same problem as @Coxy11 with the motorway being closed. My appointment was for 4.40 and we left home at 3.15 knowing it would take longer than usual to get to the hospital, at 4.40 we were just turning into the hospital carpark when my phone rings and it's the fracture clinic to find out if I was on my way! Told them where we were and would be with the shortly. Got booked in and was seen my the Dr about 5 minutes later - definitely quickest I've ever been seen - usually have to wait about an hour! He seemed to think I was there for my mallet finger rather than checking my thumb joint replacement! I wanted him to check my finger and it turns out the nurse at the local minor injury unit was wrong and my finger was actually fractured at the top and not a mallet finger at all! Glad to say I haven't got to keep the plastic finger thing on any longer. Only trouble is it's a lot more painful without the protection! Our journey home took over 3 hours so we ended up with F&C as it was the only takeaway open locally so it was fish or pie & chips! Definitely gone over Swips this week so not expecting a loss tomorrow!
Today's plan:
B - cheese omelette - calcium; P
L - jacket potato, beans, salad - S; F
D - duck, air fried potatoes, veg - P; S; F (what should have been last night's dinner!)Fibre - none planned
Calcium - milk
Swips - none plannedHave a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Glad you got to your appointment @joedenise and the finger cover is no longer needed. Motorway is still shut coastbound 🙁
Have taken DDad out today. We needed some additional clothes hangers plus some kitten bits (DD will pay me back). Went to Canterbury outskirts, but whatdya know, got caught in traffic all around the city walls so had to turn back and go a different way. Got some lunch in Dune1m cafe - JP with cheese for me so on plan 👍️
Food today:B - crunchy bran, mullerlight, blueberries - Fibre, 0.5, S
L - JP, Cheese, Salad - free, calcium, S
D - SW easy chicken curry with added spinach - free, S
Calcium - 350ml skimmed milk
SWIPs - 0.5 plus a hi fi bar = 3.5 total

It seems that road works are country wide. ☹️ The motorway was closed on the way home from dancing the other night but not signposted early enough to make a sensible detour.
You certainly got massively held up on your trip to the hospital @joedenise . Strange that your finger was wrongly diagnosed, sorry to hear it's more painful.
I've never been into Dunelm when I've needed to eat @Coxy11 but good to know they do JPs. 👍
I had an OK meal last night. I chose a chicken skewer and salad but plenty of swips in a little bucket of chips and some wine. Back on plan today though until next Thursday. 🤞
Today's plan -
B- porridge, blueberries and banana (fibre, S, F), milk (calcium 1)
L- veggie omelette and salad (P, S)
D - corned beef hash, veg (P, S, F, calcium 2)
Swips - I'll check but it's the Aldi corned beef which IIRC is 1 swip per slice.

Got back from hospital at 5.30! So another wasted afternoon and paid £5.50 for the privilege (parking!). Dr couldn't see any reason for the feeling of needles in DH's eye.
Corned beef was 1 swip a slice when I was going to group, not aware it's changed @maman.

Morning all, looking a lot brighter than yesterday. DH still woke up early with the feeling of needles in his eye. The only suggestion the Dr he saw yesterday was to buy some OTC dry eye drops to see if that helps so will do that this morning when we pop out - I stupidly forgot to buy potatoes when we went shopping yesterday other than the jackets we had for lunch!
Little finger is beginning to feel a bit less painful than it was yesterday thankfully but think it's going to take a while to get pain free and back to normal use - still very painful to bend which is one of the exercises I need to do following my thumb replacement joint op.
Pleased to say I had a very small loss of 0.2lb! To say I was surprised is an understatement after having F&C after the lateness getting home after the hospital this week. Hopefully it doesn't catch up next week!
Today's plan:
B - Weetabix, milk, fruit - Fibre, part calcium, S; F
L - HM falafels, salad, pitta - Fibre, P; S
D - Liver & bacon casserole, mash, veg - P; S; FFibre: Weetabix; soft pitta
Calcium - milk
Swips - may have a couple of G&Ts 6Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, I’m beginning to feel a bit more human 😁
Well done on the loss @joedenise 🎉 I haven’t read back yet but hope everyone else is jogging along and fine.
No idea what WI will bring tomorrow. I’ve only eaten soup or toast all week, fridge is still full of speedy stuff and that’s not normally a good sign! I can also see more soup in my future 🤣
Still not very hungry so not sure what lunch will be but dinner is meatballs with spaghetti 😋0 -
Hi all,
Weighed in with a 1lb GAIN today - really not happy as have been on plan all week bar the one lunch with DDad's SIL. I have however spent a lot of time in the car this week, and limited my water intake as no facilities available, so that could be it. Was really fed up but stayed to group and a newbie was sat next to me as a buddy. So I'm now 1.5 over the stone bracket I very much want to leave behind. Want 2lb next week. It helps that DH is away this weekend so I can have whatever I fancy (SW friendly of course) and am already planning egg and chips!!!
Sorry both you and DH are in pain @joedenise I hope things ease up for you soon.
Good to see you @Jellybaby and I hope you get a good result on the scales tomorrow 🤞
Food today:
B - banana - free
L - spicy courgette soup, shredded roast chicken, satsumas - 3, P, S
D - LO mushroom risotto, salad - free, S
Calcium - 350ml skimmed milk
Fibre - 2 x hi fi bars

That's a real pain @Coxy11 when you've been on plan to have a gain. Hopefully it'll come off next week. Good luck with shifting 2lb.
Good luck @Jellybaby for WI tomorrow and hope you get a good loss after only eating soup and toast for a week.
Decided to make the liver and bacon casserole in the SC. Have just put it on on High as should only take about 2 hours or so. Usually do it in the oven so hoping it turns out alright as so much easier in the SC.
