Hi @jwil, so lovely to read about your day out on your own. I so enjoy a slow day, just mooching and lingering over a coffee, whilst people watching. When DH was out for the day at the weekend, I finally watched Pride and Prejudice, which I recorded at Christmas last year! Hope that you enjoy today, fingers crossed for a swift appointment date for little jwil, and I hope little miss enjoys her time away.

Thank you 😊 There's nothing like a day to yourself. I hope you enjoyed Pride and Prejudice.

I'm not liking what they've done to the forum! Why filter on when threads are started rather than when they were last commented on? It looks all messy too.
Little miss was back from her residential yesterday and enjoyed herself so that's good. My days off went in a blur. I did paint the woodwork in the bathroom on Thursday which has been waiting to be done since we had the bathroom done! Because the airing cupboard door is right next to the toilet, I had wanted to wait for a day when everyone was out to give it a chance to dry without people brushing against it. It looks much better now, though I am definitely not talented in painting and decorating. One day when I have money I'll get someone in to do it properly.
Yesterday I did a bit of cooking and prepping food. Which is definitely needed as I gained 3.5lb this week 😭 I haven't really been on plan so it's deserved.
I went on the big river site this morning and a certain colour of the ipad had around a £100 discount on it for some reason. So I have ordered two, and assuming they arrive ok tomorrow that's the Christmas gifts sorted. I still need to 'earn' as much as I can though as I chucked it on the CC. I used a voucher I cashed in yesterday and the money I'd already saved so that helped.

I’m not liking the new format either. There’s a thread discussing it.
I’m rubbish at painting walls/ceilings but ok with woodwork. I have no choice but to pay someone else to do it. Mr SA used to be good at decorating unfortunately he can’t do it anymore.
That sounds like a bargain with the iPads. I got mine from there a couple of years ago and my iPhone.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪1 -
Not liking the new format either. So frustrating. Glad lm enjoyed the residential

Neither of us have any great DIY skills, but we just don't have the funds to pay someone at the moment, so it's either muddle through or do nothing. We'll get there though and one day I'll get it done properly.
If the ipads come off, I'll be really impressed. I've bought from there before too, but I'm a bit nervous with two at the same time, so I won't believe it until they are here! I'm glad I had more than one colour in my watchlist otherwise I wouldn't have seen it!

It's a really bizarre change and doesn't offer any benefits!
It's a relief that she's enjoyed it.

Happy Sunday! A quiet day today. The ipads have arrived and look ok. I've switched them on, and will probably at some point set them up on my account just to check they work ok. I'm really pleased. I've been doing loads of surveys this morning to get them paid for.
DH gave me some lottery winnings to pay to the mortgage this morning so I've added that to my PAD for the day along with a little cashback.
We're in a free hour of electricity at the moment, so the TD is on, car is charging, children are showering and all devices are charging.
Time to chill this afternoon.
