Decided on a whim to go back to the first days of this board, 20+ years ago, and almost from the first post there is Dunstonh doling out advice much as he does today (accurately and not sugar-coated).  You have to admire that consistency & commitment.

I've lurked/sometimes posted on here a few years I guess, and had a fair bit of good advice along the way from him and Masonic, Linton, wmb194, DRS1, Hoenir, ColdIron, Eyeful, phlebas192, Alexland, aroominyork, artyboy, Dazed_and_C0nfused, eskbanker, boingy, GeoffTF, SnowMan, coyrls, OldScientist, EthicsGradient, jimjames, Investerjones, El_Torro, Albermarle, poseidon1, Altior, Qyburn, MX5huggy, and I'm sure a bunch more I'm scandalously missing out.

Some very clued-up and helpful people on here, very many thanks.

Yeah dunstonh is a machine - definitely putting the unstructured CPD hours in.

Well, that's very kind - I don't think I contribute much . But to correct a typo, so they see it - it's @aroominyork (as in "a room in York", I guess).

I am also very grateful for the hard work and generosity of so many posters on these boards. 
I hope to one day make useful contributions of my own, but for now I am busy absorbing all the knowledge and wisdom on offer here.
