Hello all 😊
Beautiful day here and although I will have to have a late lunch due to a meeting (Boo!) I am hoping to slip out after to get some air and light 🌞
Trainer agrees with me that I need a proper rest day! Yaay 😉 I did work proper hard last night though and I have got to being able to do 30 seconds of plank with minimal shaking - so very chuffed with this 💖
Had an email from WoB that they have inspected my books and I have £32.10 coming to me! Also chuffed with this - will be swept off as an OP when it lands in pal of pay 😊

Thank goodness it’s the weekend! I’m shattered …
Had a burst of inspiration a couple of days ago and ordered various, newly published, military history books that I think Mr KK will enjoy - they have now arrived and are hidden in plain sight … 😉 He doesn’t need a proper present as he had a big Christmas present but it would be nice to give him a small something on Monday as well as taking him out for dinner tomorrow night. Bought a ridiculous, 3D, husband, birthday card for him today as well 😊
Went up to local agricultural city centre and failed miserably to find much of what I wanted. Some cheap light weight trainers I can use in the house for training, one exercise top but no work tops or trousers … sigh … (I HATE SHOPPING! 😂😂). Found absolutely nothing I even wanted to look at more closely let alone try on in MnS but had a rummage online when I got home, via TCB, and found a few things that might be a possibility, so managed to use up c. £30 of vouchers, some of which were going to expire tomorrow!
Quiet evening planned here and then we will see what tomorrow brings …

Saturday was a quiet day - managed to get the cut flower bed in the veggie patch cleared including some huge clumps of grass that defeated me last year and a whole load of evening primrose seedlings with 50p sized rosettes and 18” tap roots! 😳
We went out for dinner last night to celebrate Mr KK’s birthday 😊 Mr KK had a really good meal, mine was okay. £114 which was a bit fierce! 🤷♀️ They had forgotten to include the dessert so I had to get them to add it to the bill …
Done all my financial updates today. Nothing too scary - clothes budget is obliterated by the stuff I have been buying for training, but I shouldn’t need anything else for a while (until I move onto kettlebells etc 😂) and all of the birthday spend for Mr KK came from a budgeted pot that is depleted but not eliminated 😊
Had £1500 left over so have divvied up three ways with £500 each to OP, pension and savings - the latter to top up funds for our trip to Bayeaux in June 😊
Done various chores today - all the washing is done, dried, folded or hung and away, heated airer collapsed and put away 💪👏 kitchen bins emptied, dead flowers tidied away and remaining live ones put in smaller vase.
Had a brief time in the garden this afternoon tidying the border nearest the top of the drive (weeding, pruning, removing dead leaves) - looks loads better 😊 The local plant centre reopened today as it is the 1st March so I went along to show support and say welcome back. Picked up a few little things but it was only a small spend.
Rung my mother. Her main interest in my life was about my work, as per usual …

Hope Mr KK is/has enjoyed birthday and agree - public spirited to support local business with a small spend. Suggest that does not come off the £200 allowed this month for plants (as you will have seen from my review of Feb am very capable of glossing over my equine and vet related spends!)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
I hope Mr KK is healing up well and happy birthday weekend to him🎉
