He’s a tough nut. Thats why I know he’s in pain. He’s actually complaining a little! 😳😢
Really hoping that all the packing comes out today and they can sew him up which will allow him to start healing.

Mr KK made it to the GP - there is good news and not so good news …
The good is that the wound looks clean and calm.
The not so good is that he has to go back every 2 to 3 days for the next three weeks until they are satisfied it is healing properly from the bottom of the hole up … He is NOT impressed. He also found today painful and it’s made the wound very sore again. The nurse recommended he take painkillers 30 minutes before his appointment next time.
I’ve had a reasonably productive day in spite of feeling crashingly tired this afternoon:
~ Process mapped a big job for a key customer contract this morning - it flushed out a lot of gaps and I have just thought of two more over the washing up … 🤔
~ Got out for a brief walk at lunchtime
~ Had a mildly bizarre engagement with my surgery - they sent me a message about a menopause talk on 14th March with a say ‘yes’ if you want to come - there was nowhere to say ‘yes’ … After trying for a while, fighting back and forth through various screens in the App I rang the surgery, going through the multiple menus and messages etc etc and got to speak to the organiser, who couldn’t understand why she hadn’t had a single positive response … 🙄😂 A Quality Manager is never off duty hey …? 😉🤷♀️ I have a space for me to attend now 😊
~ Ordered new defibrillator pads - casualty is going to be okay 😊 Next door business very grateful.
~ 2 videos made of exercise forms with Mr KK’s help - he made me laugh so I suspect that won’t have helped my technique 😉😊 Also took photos of various straps / bands for coach to see what I’m using.
~ Forgot that our default OP each month has increased to £80 thanks to Mr K’s £4K contribution - I need to go and work that into my spreadsheet 😊🤩
I am tired, but it’s been a good day 😊KK

That does sound a good day, well done. Really nice to hear defib patient is okay and business next door are grateful 😊
Sympathies to Mr KK, that must feel like adding insult to injury, but at least they're being thorough and wanting to make sure it's all healing okay. I hope they've gone through potential causes with him and he's taken them onboard? Showering or at least a rinse after manly work sort of thing, especially as it sounds like he spends a lot of time doing things that would get him sweaty (filming you doing exercises for one thing 😁)

I think it’s just one of those things tbh. It was an infection that started underneath unbroken skin. He’s had the cyst (a lump) for years without issue. They took a swab at the hospital and will cultivate it so if it starts again they can give him more specific ABs.

I really wish that the nhs would explain to patients in detail the aftercare part of the whole procedure at least then Mr kk would have known what to expect.

I think explanations from NHS are often in short supply. Worryingly. I think it is partly they are so busy but also they see it all the time day in day out and so assume people will just know because they know and also because the person who would give the advice is rushed off to another patient.
I remember having a lot of stiches in my face and the surgeon gave me great advice because I was conscious throughout and when I repeated the info to my GP nurse she was astonished I had had such a great experience but concluded it was simply because I was conscious and one usually would have had a GA for such a procedure.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
I think definitely when you're rushed off your feet the bits that you think are obvious are first to go out the window.
Very interested to see if you're the only person at your menopause talk KK or whether other people battled through as well!

Absolutely agree with this. My mum recently had shoulder replacement surgery. At no point did they tell her she would have to have a full sling on for 6 weeks including round the waist. Obviously a sling but not an almost full one round her waist up to her arm & shoulder. It was so hard to do & undo.
