MadamMim2013 - my son is in Turkey getting his teeth done - his smile now is like a Hollywood one - not sure I like it but his teeth were rather awful.
suzeesu2000 - I don't know how much the cinema cost as my friend S paid - on the understanding that I pay next visit.
suzeesu2000 - having a new kitchen is exciting - so many choices to make re units, cooker, handles etc.
Brie - the only issue with my kitchen which was fitted 13 years ago is - the small cupboard next to the cooker has a split. Do I go for an estimate for new doors or live with it?
I only posted in the morning yesterday.
Later I went to the local scrapstore as I wanted white fabric for angel heads and SA colours to make bunting. I didn't find any of those there but got a bag of chunky yarn - 600 grams for my daughter for £5. I did get some quilting rulers and a bag of Laura Ashley fabric pieces for £8. The store does fill a basket for £5 - I only had the rulers in my basket so woman at till was going to charge me a total of £15 so just £2 for the bits in the basket. I know what rulers cost so insisted on paying extra - all funds are for Mencap. When I got home - I saw one of the rulers was £25+ - I got two of those and 3 other rulers.
I got the SA colours at the local haberdashery shop. I dug my large cutting mat out from it's storage place in my bedroom but I couldn't find my rotary cutter.
My dil phoned to check I was still okay to look after the girls while they went to parent's evening. I hadn't put it in my diary! The girls - 8 + 11 and I had a great time trying to do crochet rectangles for Christmas decorations.
I carried on with gnome knitting when all the family left.

Today I had an appointment for an eye test - chap said it was 2 years since my last one - I always went every year. I suppose I was so busy caring for Mr F and hospital visiting that I didn't go last year. I need new glasses so a chunk of money decluttered.
More money decluttered at Lid. but we all need food.
My dil had given me 3 more sewing jobs - this afternoon - I repaired a vintage jumper for her. Then I altered a blouse and replaced a missing button. Dil also gave me a top that had a tie belt at the waist - could I alter it as she doesn't like the bulk of a knot. That will be done tomorrow.
I contacted the heating engineer B recommended by the SA folk at my new corps. He is coming to service the boiler on Tuesday so more money will be decluttered. I felt cold tonight so put the heating on for an hour. I went around the house checking to see that radiators were working. The one in the lounge and one in the craft storage room didn't get hot so I will ask B to look at them.
The bike that was in my alley and is now in the front garden is still there. I asked a neighbour if he could take it to the tip. Normally anything that you leave at the front of your house is taken - this hasn't been.
I am still watching early series of the GBSB while I am knitting.
Young J hung my Tree of Life painting. I watched a chap spray painting this years ago and never got around to framing it until recently.

Thanks for the stair advice guys, I got read the riot act from my sister today especially after I admitted a oh 'gosh' moment half way down when I realised I was committed and couldn't put it down 🫣
I don't keep ornaments around my rooms but have a small cabinet which sits on top of a unit having moved the cabinet downstairs (reason for moment on stairs!) I got around to bringing down the box with the contents last night and today put them back in. I wished I took photos first as I can't get it looking right.
I asked my sister advice on the colour of my gifted curtains and she agrees that the blue works in the dining room but maybe not the lounge. I had to promise not to stand on my dining room chair to put them up to confirm as they are heavy full length curtains. She doesn't trust me!!

Brambling - do be careful on the stairs. I am grateful for the extra stair rails that were installed for Mr F.
Wet start to the day here.
I went to bed late so late up. My watch says that I had 6 hours 39 minutes of sleep.
I am going to search for my rotary cutter - I do have one arriving today but no idea of the time. I had a delivery at 7 pm yesterday - bought silicone air fryer liners. The air fryer is still in it's box.
When I got up - the temperature in my craft room was 17. I did have the heating on for an hour last night. I turned it off and had a big fleece blanket over my legs - blanket/throw came from Mil's flat. I couldn't find my throws in my tidy airing cupboard.
I just had my doorbell go - thought it must be jws - it was a woman delivering a gift for my bestie. I hadn't written the delivery in my diary.
I am struggling just now - miss my Mr F but know he would want me to be happy. He always said - as long as P is happy.

I was hunting in the attic for our electric blankets, and found only 2. I remember throwing out dd1's due to lightning under the bedding (fun to watch, but not safe), but cannot remember if I bought a new one. Probably not.
While in the attic I found a cardboard box that contained 7 black binders, a comb, and a wireless keyboard. They are now all in their appropriate places (I put the binders on the 'school supplies' shelf in the attic) and the cardboard box is in the kitchen to hold the old paper recycling for the next fortnight, when the council will come and collect it.
My summer clothes are in a large vacuum bag I bought to try out. It works really well, but I need smaller sizes for it to make sense. I think this size is more for duvets and sheets.
The organisation I belong to has sent me the children's alimony calculation, which I need to check, because I think they missed a few items.
More admin: our health insurance reimburses us for sport club memberships (€50/year) and any school trip (€5/trip). It 'just' needs a signed document from the organisation or school, and proof of payment, all uploaded, and sometimes handed in in original. Very simple, very clear, and very annoying to run around for €5.

Forgot to say, bookcase taken to son's house.
DD1 is here, she works from home 4 days.Too noisy at home to make calls. She is having a new kitchen and the kitchen door moved. The previous house owners moved the door. DD is moving it back to it's original place. It means she will be able to have a table in the kitchen. As it was there were too many doors in the way to sit at a table. Luckily clerk of works Misty is keeping an eye on the job.
Plenty of frogs eaten yesterday. Narcissus planted in a pot. Sprouted potatoes from DS's planted in a big pot. We may get a few spuds for Christmas dinner. A plant moved to a new spot in the front garden. Mr V tied my little green bin lid down and rolled the bin to mix the "compost". Weeding, wood chopped and bagged.etc, erc.
Inside, a start made on the fireplace mantle I am making from a free fire surround. Mr V taking the legs of it to the tip as we can't burn MDF. A bakerlite knob put on an oak cupboard door. I have had this knob about 20 years, just waiting for the right piece of furniture. It's creamy yellow, reminds me of amber. Yet another phone cable bit the dust so going to the tip.
Weighed myself today. weight ends in a 1. Hoping to get down into that next stone by Tuesday. Hope you people in the weight loss carriage are doing ok😀

Well the rain showers and rainbows this morning were something special! Quite enjoyable when you're indoors and know you don't need to go out imminently!
My toilet handle snapped a couple of days ago. Luckily the lid of the cistern is traditional rather than built in, so I could take it off and can make the toilet flush manually. But will need to replace it - hopefully the DIY board will be helpful in pointing me in the right direction before I contact a plumber.
I've also been saving up (not getting round to because of apathy and clutter) a number of other boiler service / plumbing type tasks. Perhaps this should be the prod to start doing something about them. I just assume that it will be difficult and therefore don't tackle it. Can't leave the toilet for too long, so at least that must be done.
Must tackle other frogs too, like booking the car in for its fuel pump replacement (free recall from about 18 months ago), replacement tyres, new windscreen washers and free fitting.
Anyway, hugs to those who need them and looking forward to seeing more about house plans 😊

Cleared out a few cupboard bits. Not loads but at least some bits.

Lovely to see Misty as Clerk of Works with muddy paws. Sox enjoys supervising workmen as well. He has been snuggled up in his bed most of the day as intermittent heavy rain. I've not done a lot today really and I have a free weekend except for an afternoon quiz tomorrow. I have an online meeting this evening.
I did empty the fridge out and made 5 portions of vegetable soup from random items - now cooling in plastic bags ready for freezer. I managed to do a few frogs as well.

Some.papers out, a few photos and recipts. 2 glasses in bag to take to dd2 along with a few things and giving her a few bags for life.
Rolled up the v large bits of bubble wrap acquired from neighbour but means I can try and pass on some crockery esp that which will be delivered by DB next week.
