Florenceem, another busy day ☺️ & how lovely that DIL & 2 grandchildren came for a visit 🥹 Sounds like young J is working hard again - such a lovely young man 🥹
daisy_1571, I like the idea of a weight loss carriage on the EDT ☺️ so it is now located next to the spa area which has a couple of jacuzzis & masseurs on call. Well done on the weight loss - a great start 👏 I also really like “minus-loss” much friendlier description 🙊
vulpix, the quilt might be simple but will have been elevated by the use of cat buttons ☺️ Fingers crossed that this week is the last time that MrV has to attend the wound clinic 🤞
Miss_BaLu, the slow & steady approach to weight loss has the added advantage of getting into good habits 😊 Good luck with the cleaning & tidying 🍀 Hope the funeral goes well & is a celebration of your cousin’s life 🙏
suzeesu2000, an excellent weight loss 🥳 no wonder you are dancing 💃
Florenceem, more great work by young J 👏 Beautiful cover for your industrial sewing machine 😍
vulpix, wonderful support for Miss_BaLu 🥹
suzeesu2000, well done on selling a large item 👏 Ouch to the tummy burn 😣 Please, please take care - no more accidents please 🙏
GrannyKate, hope you have recovered from having the flu & Covid jabs 🤞
EnergyShifter, good luck on your weight loss journey 🍀 What a talented neighbour repairing the fairy-lights 👏 The wombled tile covered wooden panel sounds amazing 🤩 I look forward to hearing what you come up with ☺️
Apologies for falling behind with the cheerleading…………again 😞 Sleep tight 😴

Decluttered a car full of scrap this morning 😇 The £ will go towards our weekend away 🥳
DH is having an extensive dental procedure today, he’s very anxious, which is understandable as he had a huge amount of trauma regarding the dentist from his childhood. So, I will be spending 2 hours supporting him while it happens. I’m rather proud of how brave he’s been regarding his teeth in the last couple of years, getting him to understand that he’s worthy of having it done and deserves to feel good about his teeth has taken a while, think he’s getting it now 😉
Will declutter a broken chest freezer later and anything else I can squeeze in the car.. I’m on a mission to get things sorted and cleared ( in the garage especially) before winter properly kicks in.. Want to organise my stores and make things accessible, not having to keep moving things about to get to stuff will be much appreciated by myself at a later date. 🤣
Was given a mahoosive stack of puzzles to re-home, so will distribute them to others and a pile to the charity shop.Have also been attempting to encourage mum to clear a few things as she empties boxes of things back into her new kitchen.. it’s proving difficult, so we have given her a dedicated box that she can pop things in and we will just empty on every visit, no questions asked. Think that may work better in the long run as it doesn’t feel like she’s having to purge everything, time will tell.. 🤞🏼
@Florenceem have a lovely time at the cinema 🍿
MrsSD.. Your cheerleading is always wonderful so please don’t apologise for being “behind”.. You’ve created a magnificent supportive space that is a joy to be part of, I’ve seen others cheerlead too so nothing is ever missed.. 💗Giant hugs for all those in need.. I’m off to hold the hubster’s foot for a while.. 😉

we haven’t seen the adult kids for a bit and saw them this weekend. Ended up with two car loads of unwanted items. Fortunately most of the stuff went straight through the house to the charity shops and our favourite homeless charity. The homeless charity are always happy to accept kitchen items for the houses they use to rehome homeless people.
The homeless charity is a church based charity. They buy houses, refurbish them and let them out to homeless people. They have 16 houses in Peterborough. We seem to have a constant stream of furniture from our house and the kids. It feels better letting go of items if you know they will be reused and going to a good home.

Morning all.
The film was to me - an enviromental warning as a satire. It is a big flop apparently. I said to S who I went with - it could become a cult film in the future. The last scene of devastation in a city was very well done and could be reality if this planet continues to be polluted.
We saw trailers for upcoming films - only one we both thought was worth watching comes out in January. There is an upcoming Noel Coward theatre show but I don't know if S would be keen on seeing it.
We looked for somewhere to have a cup of tea after the screening - at S's suggestion.
I was merrily knitting and watching the GBSB when I realised that I hadn't taken my tablets. So it was late to bed and late getting out of bed.
Rain is forecast for here today.

I'm still working on the buddleia; 4 full green bins so far, and a pile of branches that are too large for the bin. Once the buddleia has been completely dug out, I will make a run to the recycling centre with them; or wait until spring when there is a free 'pruned wood' collection and the council picks it up.

Sorted out the fridge and a number of items disposed of. I really need to do a whole sweep of fhe fridge rather than doing bits. I have become lapse in my sorting and decluttering.

Evening all. I managed to keep a hold on the tray tonight and we enjoyed the contents instead of wearing it! Burn is much better this morning, more zinc and caster oil applied with a clean dressing, no big blistering so all looks good.
Glad you enjoyed the cinema @Florenceem, last time I went was 1987 I think. Saw A room with a view; oh my but it was soooo dull. I think I would faint at the cost nowadays.
Thanks @vulpix, I now have something to look forward to on a Tuesday. Well done on being Slimmer of the week again.
A wonderful start to the day was a phone call from the kitchen people asking if they can book us in for a definite start on 20th October😱😱 Yes please! So the rest of the day has been me trying to work out where I am going to put everything and having a tiny bit of a panic. Alls well now though. I shall just work through it each day and it will come good.
I have a very big donation for foodbank and they are coming to collect it all tomorrow. Spoke with DH and decided to clear as much as possible and start again when the kitchen is done and we can see for certain how much room we have.
The fridge freezer and single freezer will have to come into the sitting room. The dish washer, washing machine, chest freezer and tumble dryer are, hopefully, going into DHs scooter shed - it has electricity so the chest freezer will still be okay. DHs scooter will stand out in the yard with a couple of good covers on. The gas cooker will have to stand well covered in the other end of the kitchen as there really is nowhere for it to go. Luckily We’ve been assured that the lads coming to rip out will be happy to move all the appliances and they will disconnect everything too.
I apologise in advance if I become a kitchen bore, I’ve never had a new kitchen and I’m finding it all very “wow”.
posted everything today and made 1 sale, that’s going in the morning.
Dinner for me was totally freezer. DH was totally fridge.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

@suzeesu2000 waiting with antica…..pation for kitchen updates.
But please tell me you didn't go for matt finish units. I wish we hadn't a couple of years back. (I said we needed a new kitchen, was vocal on the tech specifics and left him indoors to do the pretty stuff.)

Just catching up - so sorry to hear the sad news about your brother @Brambling
Looking forward to hearing about the kitchen project progress, @suzeesu2000 . How exciting!
We have a similar Christian homeless charity where I live, @Green_hopeful . Although I think they may rent the houses rather than buy them.
I've done my weight for this week. Started the J0e W!cks app at the start of the week. I've done one beginner's HIIT workout so far and it was tough! Serves me right for saying I wanted to burn fat … I shall persevere, though getting my head around the eating plan. I'm really not up for preparing 3 meals a day. Hopefully it'll become more straightforward.
Hugs to anyone who wants them.
