Young J gave the inside of the summer house another 2 coats of white emulsion - plywood is ready for a top coat. We will use LO duck egg blue emulsion.

My industrial sewing machine needed a cover, wasn't an easy shape to do but it is done.

Quietish day, did sell one physically big item so 8 am glad that will be out the house tomorrow.

Learnt a good bit from a lovely lady on Vinted this morning too, some people are just so nice.

This evening wasn’t so good. Carrying a tray laden with hot supper and just made tea….dont quite know what happened but the tray went and the boiling hot tea scalded me. I have a lovely burn over my tum just under boobs. And yes it hurt! I’m more miffed at the tea over my shirt, hope that comes out. Slippers covered in tomato sauce and carpet is going to have to be cleaned in the morning. Fortunately no lasting harm done apart from to me🤣 Poor DH was so worried bless him. Fortunately I am a trained first aider so can take care of a burn. I’m doing well for accidents just lately, must pay more attention.

Apart from that, I have enjoyed a day when the weather has been definitely cooler, I love it. Wednesday is forecast to be raining all day.

@suzeesu2000 - my sympathies as I did the same thing a few years ago. I had a childfree day and I took myself for a lovely walk in the park and bought a pot of tea and cake. Tripped slightly and the metal tea pot emptied most of the tea onto my tummy. It was very painful.

Felt slight effects from covid and flu jabs - a bit hot and dizzy and one arm is quite sore.

Weighed in for weight loss decluttering. Counting today as starting weight. For the coming week I will be happy if I stay the same weight as I am going to a retreat at the weekend which is known for its lovely and plentiful food !

I popped in the CS and bought 3 tops - I think one or two will be going back they were a bit of an impulse buy as I was feeling like I needed to be cheered up. Had my haircut as I have an event on Sunday.

Only one client today - spent the late afternoon pottering in the garden. My neighbour repaired my fox gnawed fairy-lights - he's actually got a soldering iron and likes tinkering with electrics - I'm delighted!

Wombled a large wooden panel covered in really pretty tiles -they look like those Portuguese blue & white tiles (Azulejos) . No idea what I'll be using them for as I'm not at all sure that I'll be able to get them off the panel without breaking them so may need to get creative.

Dragged old sofa out to front gate to be collected tomorrow.

My surgery has been canceled. I have to go see a cardiologist, even though my doctor says everything is okay. Now surgery may not get done. We were considering changing insurance companies. Not sure if this surgeon is on the new plan. Oh well. Have a lot more time to declutter.

@suzeesu2000 hugs, sounds v painful and a hard area to record water. Hope the pain is easing and heals well.

Focus on frogs today..spent about 2 hours on the phone with student finance england for dd1 as errors made on her loan and hard for her to call. Some lovely people trying to sort out figures but looks 6 figure debt from nursing degree and only a fixed term job which she was hoping would be extended but funding unlikely. Higher than normal debt as a year off recovering from her accident. Sorry for my rant.

I item out with packaging and trying to find a large box to post an item tomorrow , hoping a neighbour may have one.

Lots of photos deleted as every 30.mins I get told no storage.I will try and sort tomorrow. Some papers out too.

I woke early to put out hazardous waste only to find cancelled and will be Friday so off to bed and hopefully wake up refreshed 😴

Thank you lovely people…🤗 I wrapped freezer blocks in a clean towel and left on for a good long time to take the heat out. Covered in zinc and castor oil cream and a good dressing. Doesn’t feel half as bad. xx

Suzeesu, a flying start, well done. It is so encouraging to have such a good result. It feels so good to get down into that next stone. A literal flying start! Ouch. My son burnt his back, don't ask, alcohol and rugby team involved. Anyhoo he had some marvellous burn dressings which took a lot of the pain out of the burn.They are not too expensive.

Energy shifter I am using today's weigh in as my starting point too for the thread. In slimming club news I am slimmer of the week again. Never had such a stock of tinned tomatoes!

Weenancy, I am so sorry about your cancelled operation. That's hard when you have psyched yourself up to it. Fingers crossed that a solution can be found.xx

All ready to set off at 6am to be in Oxfordshire in time to take DGS1 to "nastics". Gymnastics for the uninitiated. He has asked for me to go and watch him and it is also his brother's first birthday. I have weighed out all the ingredients to make a cake with them.
