Deb4 - I am going to tackle my ROD when I get home - half an hour a day.
Today I did ironing and then started on the curtains.
I don't have enough fabric to cut off at the bottom of the curtains for curved tie backs. I have made straight tie backs with rounded ends.
I have one curtain ready for hand sewing the hem. I have machined the lining hem.
My son has given me help with my laptop.
I have more ironing to do tomorrow.
I should get the curtains finished tomorrow.

@ Yorkie1 & Mrs SD - yes finding the brick border was a lovely surprise - I have loads of bricks from the front wall falling down 10 years ago - wondering if I can find a use for them in the garden. I like the idea of using what I have already got as much as possible.
Since I last posted the weather has been really pleasant so it made sense to continue focus on garden. Still clearing ground at the back of the garden and doing some cutting back.
Work has gone quiet which is lovely in one sense but being self-employed it has an impact on finances. I have decided not to worry as I have enough coming in to cover bills and trust that things will work themselves out. I have had a bit of a scarcity mentality in the past so this is a welcome change for me.

Liverpool Anne, it does a body good to spend quality time with relatives.❤️
Deb4, hope you enjoyed Matlock Bath. I used to go quite often when my kids were little.
Green hopeful, I have a thing for fire places too. I was recently given a beautiful Edwardian oak surround. It is in situ in the dining room . I would like to replace the 1990's fake marble hearth, Low down my priority list atm. I have also got another fireplace in my sights for the sitting room to replace a similar 90's affair. I am hoping to get this one done this year if my builder has any time.
What a shame about Mr SD's trip out. Mr V went to the shop for ingredients for lunch and he was gone ages because of road works and just volume of traffic.
I find online stuff a challenge sometimes, no lets be honest, most times. Today DD1 helped me change the address on my driving licence and put an application in for a blue badge. 2 big frogs for me. Still not in my slimming club app, apple id issue.
DD1'sbest friend emigrated to Australia lat year and has invited her for Christmas. She is stone broke after having to pay a lot of money owed and a fine to HMRC. She has 5 jobs so not for the want in trying to keep her head above water. She didn't ask but I will give her the money. She is a lovely light in my life, and I can't take it with me.
Wishing everyone a good week ahead, Vx

Sunday cont’d DH got back 18:50 - he had a good return trip with hardly any traffic & just one short stop to get a drink. I had been prepping dinner - the Dauphinois potatoes were in the oven & I had parboiled the green beans. DH had a bath then came down & cooked the steak then finished off the beans in the frying pan. Delicious 😋 Wudupa

oh my goodness. Used the newly serviced sewing machine last night. Even my husband said that sounds smooth. Definitely worth the money.

I’m having a day at home today so I rearranged my underwear and pyjama drawers and then made up another bag to take to donate tomorrow. A winter coat, three dresses, a tunic top and a slip I have never worn.

I was having a lazy day until I got a message from family friends to say that Mum's email account had been used again to try to scam people.
No idea how they've managed it this time - I didn't receive any notifications of an app being installed, there are no extra devices logged into her hotmail / microsoft account. I've changed her password and logged her out, but they still reset the diversion of emails from inbox to conversation history which I had deleted 20 minutes earlier, and the out of office / auto reply which I had set up to warn people didn't send me a reply …
The people behind these are such *****
