I do not know where today has gone. Got a lot done though. 2 boxes of books being collected tomorrow, 3 sets/series of books listed on eBay, 4 bags of books to CS. Listed some other things on our local site too.

HM steak, mushroom, onion pie, potatoes and veggies for dinner both. Had leftover pastry so made a dozen jam tarts. Had 2 bags of the pie filling left over so they’ve gone in the freezer - the ones I’m trying to empty! Half the pie and some veggies were left so that will sort dinner tomorrow, I’m not fussy on same thing 2 days in a row.

DHs scooter taken to be serviced and new tyres to be fitted.

No rain but thought it was going to a few times.

I changed my car today so that meant that I tidied it out and sorted through all the bits before they went into the new car. A small bag of rubbish went into the bin.

Kitchen has been decorated so all stuff has been returned to its normal place. Conservatory and bathroom are next week.

Weather was nice so went out in garden after I finished work today . Pulling up roots and clearing ground I uncovered a curved brick border near the apple tree. I have vague memories of it being there.

Prepared some invoices for work - they may actually be sent on time this month for a change.

A small cardboard box decluttered to DD2 for her Vinted sales. It had card making stuff that my Mum asked me to rehome. It is waiting till I see my friend who has a young Grand daughter. I decanted the contents into a resealable bag from my stash. I just have to save any I acquire, you never know when you will need one! Every time I go to see my Mum I come away with a pile of stuff of hers to rehome. It is effort but as bit by bit used to stay it's an in and out so doesn't count as mine.

I have bitten the bullet and been to join a slimming club in the hope of getting rid of some flab before my knee op, no date. Of course half of it is online to which my phone just says nope. I will have to get one of the kids to have a go. I have put a stone on over the past year on top of the several other stones that shouldn't be there!

Did a couple of hours in the garden this afternoon. Gosh I am slow. I dug up and replanted some blue geraniums from back to front garden. Mr V mostly emptied a metal coal bunker in the back garden. I think they had tried to make compost, it is old dried brambles and grass. A ton builders bag of it taken to the tip.

We have been given a new kitchen sink from someone who bought it and it doesn't fit their space. It is currently in the porch We will try to make room for it in one of the sheds next week. I think it will be a long time till we get a new kitchen.

We are off baby sitting tomorrow until Saturday.

Thursday was cloudy but bright with some blue sky & occasional sunshine. Forecast was for a high of 25°C, low of 19°C with a stiff WSW wind making it feel 2° cooler. Good news of the day was that both the HH waste & recycling wheelie bins were emptied this morning 😊 I added the new bin liner immediately. I wrote a 4 day menu plan & shopping list. DH & DSis left 13:55 & were back 15:21. As the fridge was quite empty I wiped down 3 of the 4 shelves before restocking. Dinner was chicken fried in a little oil, boiled new potatoes & peas. Wudupa.

Husband has promised dd1 a secondhand car some years ago, and we all plan to keep him to that promise. She is saving up for taxes and insurance. (I plan to make sure he also buys dd2 a car.) Both daughters are very sensible with their money. I have had to protect their savings, because husband would occasionally 'borrow' some, claiming that because they were his daughters, their money was his. Momma bear mode activated!

This first week of school is hectic! DDs and I cycle to school/work on electric bicycles; 7km for dd2, 14km for me, 16km for dd1. I get a 'cyclist reimbursement' for my trip to and from work, which is tax free, and comes to about €900/year. It has paid for all our bicycles and their maintenance. And all clubs starting up again, with the trial classes dds want to try.

DD2 and a friend went to a Modern Dance class, but it was a bit advanced and she didn't think she could catch up, so that's one night I don't have to drive her anywhere.

Had a long phonecall with a lawyer from an organisation I belong to, that I saw by chance (luckily!) offered services for divorce as long as I'm a member. They will do an alimony calculation that's submissible in court. I'm not entitled to any alimony as an ex-spouse, because I won't be destitute, but dds are entitled to children's alimony.

Called with the bank where we do our government plan pension savings, to see how to safeguard the money he saved in his personal pension plan (that I set up for him and made sure he filled to the legal max every year) against a possible new wife benifiting. Sadly, that won't be possible. DDs will be entitled to half if he remarries and passes, but it will only pay out if the new wife passes. I need to talk this over with the Notary, because maybe our Divorce Agreement can overrule this. The bank guy was annoying, because he kept trying to sell me other products and not really answering my questions, so I had to ask them several times in different ways, and suggest different scenarios.

So, many frogs dealt with. Household, not so much.

@daisy_1571 and @dND Thank you for the great ideas, I have started today, I put a pen in the right place and then I picked 3 items from the floor and put them in my to sell pile and used some of the tissue paper in a parcel that I've sold.

Yesterday was very productive, I took the charity bag to the charity shop and also a black bag of rags which has left a big space in the cupboard.

I had some bits on freegle that was collected later night.

I have been regularly uploading on vinted which I have found that it's really helped, I have the photos just need to load them.

I have a black bag with old cards in and not sure what to do with them

Have deleted some more photos and emails.

@Deb4 It's baby steps, one step at a time and all the other similar cliches 🤣Even if it's a tiny thing, if it's stopping you from doing something else, it needs to be done. I've just cleaned and dusted a surface that was awful. I wasn't doing it because there were 3 feathers, (yes feathers) that I wanted to keep but hadn't decided where. Today I spent 10 mins sorting them and then I was able to do the rest of the surface and decide on other stuff on there as well. For me it's clearing all those small mental blocks first. Dxx

We went to the market yesterday and I got curtain lining and linen fabric for the cushion covers.

I did nearly an hour of ironing this morning.

I started on the retro curtains - took a while to remove old heading tape and unpick the hem.

I got the lining fabric cut and sewn to the curtains. I need to press next so I will do that after the ironing tomorrow morning. Next I cut the fabric for cushion covers - again the next stage is pressing so will do it tomorrow. As I don't have an overlocker here to finish the inside cushion cover seams - I brought wide bias binding with me.

Very windy here today. Having a day indoors.

I started to crochet mitts yesterday evening and will carry on with that tonight.

Thank you @dND I did feel better after with the few bits I did.

I have sorted some paperwork out that's gone in to the recycling.

I really need to teach DS on our to tried up after himself as he gets things out and just leaves them even when I ask him a number of times.
