I have had a very productive day today with DH and DS1. DH has bought an event shelter (think very large tent with removable sides) so that we can continue to sit outside during the rubbish weather. We had to do a garden clear out first and dismantle a shelter for it to fit. It is huge in our smallish garden but I really love it. We have spent all afternoon in it 😊

I finally lengthened the sleeves on Granddaughter's school blazer. I have added it to my wash load. Her parents don't get back from holiday until tomorrow.
Decluttered - old greeting cards, tassel, labels, crochet patterns, mug, tea towel, fabric offcuts, handbag, plastic canvas, interfacing, polythene bag, bag of yarns, pkt of bells, ribbon, fabric, polystyrene wreath forms, vilene, bag of polyester stuffing, stationery set, clear document folder, plastic sack, shirt, 2 men's jackets, watch, pkt of glitter tapes, pumice stone, bias binding and packs of yarns.

I have found photos of my old bedroom - first is with the old door. Second is the lilac feature wall we had.
Then it became a ROD.
Now it is my lounge. Just one ROD left to sort now into a guest bedroom.
I still need to get pictures on the walls.

@surprisinglynice - would you mind telling me a bit more about the events shelter ? I’m looking for a way of being able to continue using the garden in spite of the weather so I’m really curious. Thanks ☀️

Sunday is overcast but dry so far with a high of 22°C feeling 3° cooler due to SSW wind & a low of 16° DH has been watching MotoGP races & DSis has been doing her laundry. I have repaired my night shirt (only used on RBR trips as now over 35 years old). It has stayed dry all day so far. I have done precisely nothing all day. Dinner was the rest of the cottage pie & green beans. The forecast rain finally started at 21:15 & lasted for about 40 minutes. More rain at about 23:00 & also about 01:00 Monday.
Wudupa. Then had a short bath.

vulpix, a pity that you couldn’t accommodate the large scandi bench especially as you liked it so much 😞 Good luck with your decision to stop wombling 🍀 Sounds like a lovely day out with your friend 🥹 I don’t blame you for keeping a good café under your hat 😉
Excellent work dealing with so many frogs, GrannyKate 👏 Very sorry to hear about the situation with your DGCs 😔 Gentle cwtches to you all 🤗
Great work in the garden florianatwobob 👏 Enjoy the strawberries ☺️
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Love the laundry hampers ☺️
suzeesu2000, great work finding enough packaging for your sales 👏 Such a lovely friend 🥹 she deserves 💐 which are on their way. That is amazing that your bins are emptied on a Bank Holiday 🤩 We are lucky if they are just one day late 😉
surprisinglynice, what a great idea 😊 Well done on decluttering your garden to create space 👏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 especially dealing with lengthening the sleeves on your granddaughter’s school blazer. What a stunning transformation from ROD to lounge 🤩
I will comb out my hair & then head off to bed. We are going to Kent for a big family lunch tomorrow - a celebration/remembrance of DH’s niece M combined with two birthdays - niece S & N (partner of nephew P). There will be 4 generations of family 🥹 Sleep tight everyone 😴

@EnergyShifter We got it from The River place on offer.
I can't do links but it's a Trail steel dome gazebo with Zip away sides (they're not, they clip on in the one we have) 3.5mx3.5m for £170.
Don't be tempted by the fibre glass pole one, as a camper, I would go steel poles every time.
Hope that helps 😊

@surpringlynice - thank you 💐 I will investigate those & I appreciate tip re: steel poles !

Sounds lovely @suprisinglynice
Wow what a transformation @Florenceem Your vision has really come together and it's a lovely room.
I hope it's a good time with family, even though emotions are likely to be mixed, @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
Made some progress on the living room yesterday. I had some piles of Christmas cards from previous years to go through. I keep family ones and check the others for people who I wanted to add to next year's list. I hadn't realised the pile included 2023 cards as well as 2025 ones! Anyway, that's done. Charity documents put away. Quite a few things moved upstairs into other cluttered rooms, for filing and putting away once they have been cleared too.
Must get stuff into the compost bin and garden shed today to create some space in the kitchen and back room.

Morning all.
That ROD just seemed to happen and then got worse while Mr F was poorly. I think if you have a messy area - you think - I will just put whatever in there - out of sight out of mind. I feel ashamed of it now but I have conquered it. I know that it won't happen again as nothing is coming into the house except food.
I have realised that my red Russian dolls can go in the lounge as I have 2 green items for the bedroom - somewhere.
I spoke to my son last night, he has been signed off for 4 weeks. He is coming down here today, he is visiting an old uncle on the way. Then he will visit his sister as she and my granddaughter start back to work on Tuesday. I will see my son on Tuesday and he is having a chat with my bestie as she lost a son to suicide.
I am going back to Nottingham with him. My eldest daughter is coming to visit there the following weekend. It is my birthday just before the weekend - the first without Mr F. I will come home on the train.
I am taking my sewing machine with me - we are going to get curtain fabric for the kitchen.
