2 scratters, I understand. You have done the best thing. I ordered a radiator to go in one place to keep costs down and then changed my mind to a much more expensive radiator in the bay window. I love it. You will be so much happier with your new choice worktop.
Bon voyage Mr and Mrs SD. Looks like the weather will be ok for you, not too hot or too wet.
Not declutter related at all but Morrisons are selling chocolate oranges for 97p. BB July 2027.I always do a novelty Rudolph wrapping on a chocolate orange for Christmas dinner place settings. Bought 10 this morning. I will hide them, I won't eat them but Mr V would!

Decluttered a pair of summer slippers that I’ve been trying to convince myself I like. I don’t and they are just not comfy. Also put a broken tray in recycling. Gone are 3 garden food waste bins and a kitchen food waste bin. Only things left in yard now is the big broken storage thing - I’ve still got some bits in that. A builders bucket that I don’t know where it came from, 2 decorative plant pots and a small bag of compost.
Sold a dozen mugs on Vinted and they’ve gone too.
Dinner was just me as DH still poorly, so freezer stuff only.
Been making an effort for clear all the emails and spam every day.
Been a reasonable day but had a little sprinkle of drizzle at tea time.Nice to hear alls going well @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, safe travels.
Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

@brie I am thinking of a purpose for it. I put it aside for a few days as we have a party this weekend. I shall have a search on google. We have at least three other covers with the builders name on them. We also have their brochure that features our house. This is the photo of our house from the brochure.

Hi all, tip run completed with the old laminate flooring, some random bits of metal and some bits of wood chip stuff that appeared in my front garden,. There is a local man who drops off bits of wood for me to use in the log burner but sometimes it's not real wood so I just have to take it to the tip 😁. The kitchen recycling and the bedroom bin were emptied and I did a session in the garden as it wasn't raining and I needed to get outside for a while. I picked probably the last stalks of rhubarb for the year and 2 absolutely delicious strawberries. I only have 2 plants in a lot and it's a race to get them before the slugs 😂. Got the washing dry before the rain came.. I have bagged up 2 bin bags of OH's clothes from the conservatory. There is more but I am not sure where to store them and they will all need washing again. I have told OH what I am doing but there was no offer to deal with them 🤔..
Tomorrow I will need to go to the bag wash as I have some really mucky t shirts 😂 so I will take the bedding and towels and get them on the line as we should have no rain after 11
Hugs to everyone who would like one
Take care everyone

Tuesday continued: we left at 09:50 & headed off to our first landmark. A poor start to the day as the road was closed about quarter of a mile from the landmark 😔 DH had to walk 😉 All the other landmarks - 2 new & 3 old were a breeze although the weather was nothing to write home about 😅 Very cloudy all day & from about 14:00 a heavy fog which lasted until 18:30. About noon we stopped at The Devil’s Porridge Museum, DH took his photos & we popped into the café - cappuccinos, lemon drizzle cake & flapjack + I bought a couple of small tins of shortbread & made a donation. We got the last of the new landmarks & then headed to the Mull of Galloway to take a picture of the Gallic Craig Coffee House (2005 landmark) would have been rude not to go in 😂 so we did - cappuccinos & shared a piece of lemon meringue pie. Apparently on a nice sunny day you can see the Isle of Man & Ireland, but due to the fog all we could see were the railings around the outside seating area 🙊 Arrived at The Portpatrick Hotel 17:40 & booked dinner for 19:30. Notable sight of the day was a sign saying “DO NOT FOLLOW SATNAV” 😂 at the start of a single track road. Animal sightings today - sheep, cows, horses, ducks, a goat, a female grouse & an unidentifiable hawk. A curious bathroom arrangement in our room - photograph taken from the door, spot what’s missing……………2nd photo shows behind the door
Showered & changed for dinner & went down 19:00. Had a drink in the bar & then went through to restaurant. The food was delicious 😋 - DH had haddock fishcake with salad followed by Balmoral chicken (chicken stuffed with haggis in a creamy peppercorn sauce), mash & seasonal vegetables whilst I had crusted haggis & salad followed by pan fried sea bass on crushed new potatoes with seasonal vegetables & a spicy salsa. We shared a dessert - raspberry ripple ice-cream with squirty cream. Back in our room by 21:00. Now to catch up with the cheerleading:Florenceem, I was referring to the nun who bought crafting stuff in your Bestie’s CS 😊 Sounds very odd that dancer J wants to change his top 🤨 I would love to meet Brenda Blethyn as I imagine she is a lovely person ☺️ Looking forward to seeing a picture of Sam 😊 Hope the visit to the doctor goes well 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, great work with the kitchen flooring 👏 Hopefully you managed to get it to the Tip today without damaging your back any further 🤞
2Scratters, hopefully now that you have chosen a kitchen worktops that you like, the kitchen renovation can get back on track 🤞A pity that the new worktop is more expensive ☹️
_Dolly_Rocker_ lovely cheerleading post ☺️ Nothing wrong with wearing Christmas jammies in June - after all the fashion police won’t be knocking on the door 🙊 We like Portpatrick - this is not our first visit 😊
QueenJes, keep up the good work 👏
Florenceem, sounds like young J has worked hard again 👏 Although it is a pity that he “misunderstood” your instructions about the carpet 😰 Love Sam 😍
Green_hopeful, that will teach me to slow down when reading - I thought you said the Freecycler took ‘photos’ & I was thinking how cheeky he was taking photos of you in your nightie, wellies & gardening coat 😂 Love the photo of the ducks 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 Please be very, very careful moving & putting the manhole cover in place 🙏
Brie, garden art 🤔
vulpix, thanks for the heads up about the chocolate oranges 👏 We are heading to Morrisons tomorrow for petrol so I might pop into the shop 😋
Excellent decluttering suzeesu2000 & well done with the sales 👏
Green_hopeful, a lovely looking house 🤩
Great decluttering TC77 👏 Good luck decluttering the kg 🍀 which will be a lot easier when summer actually starts 😉
Excellent work Liverpool_Anne 👏 Fingers crossed that the weather forecast is correct 🤞
DH is almost asleep but is trying to stay awake until midnight to play his daily games on his phone 😉 Sleep tight 😴

Soontobeoap, No restrictions to the amount of chocolate oranges. You could always keep going back in in different disguises if your Morrisons has a limit.🤣

If doing your family history, it is expensive to get the certificates. Maybe relatives can get together and each order one at a time. I used to ask for them as birthday and Christmas presents. Would cash my check in dimes (10 cent pieces) because I would be very careful how many I spent at a time, just so I could save for copies. Really learned how to stretch my food budget. shopped most in charity shops - but only if I actually needed something. Learned church sales were the best for the lowest prices (still are), then yard sales - people selling at home, then swap meets or boot sales. Still shop this way.

Decluttered my allocation of questions. I have asked for more but will see if they arrive..
Did remember to take batteries to the supermarket though. That is one I always forget.
The general waste was emptied yesterday so added some bits from the garage to the empty bin. It was full before emptying so it will be slow and steady to get rid. I am having work done in August and two skips at least will be needed. I suspect four, so a huge amount of items will be decluttered whilst I have them. The whole loving room will be changed round and lots of storage added so the whole house will be decluttered as things find a permanent home.
