Morning all and what a fine sunny morning it is! 🤩😍🤗.
Up at 4am with all the usual HH bin and cleaning decluttering done. 2 loads of washing done and on the line and car out. Babyface had a good night and is now medicated, toileted, & been fed a large nutritious breakfast. Missy Moo is presently chewing on a chicken & soya stick with much delight & glee which she killed in under 2 minutes before coming into the office for her pain medication followed by her rearranging one of her many beds and hopefully crashing out for a couple of hours 😂🤣 - someone's feeling better 😘😅😋😁. Vet check up and blood tests early afternoon, so hoping all is well and babyface can move on…..
I'm hoping for a mush lighter day, but having a few garden parcels delivered from people who kindly decided to send me a few plants & bulbs. I'm hoping that the gardener will pop over later today and cut the lawn or certainly earl;y tomorrow morning before it rains - something I'm no longer able to manage as I'm still in back & neck braces for now 🤨😮🤐.
Okay, it's time for a nice silent mug of coffee before postie arrives and no doubt it'll be mail galore which I'll declutter anything useless immediately as piles of mail sitting on the office desk seems to be getting me down a little, so it's gotta go! Cleaning up in the office this morning and decluttering and putting away anything and everything. I can't work on a dirty desk but any what appears to be disorganisation paperwork wise, is fine 😅😂🤣.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Take care all and toodle-pipsky for now xxxxx

Morning all - lovely day here.
vulpix - the colour is F&B Radicchio. It says it is modern crimson tempered with magenta. I am going bold with colours in this round of decorating.
vulpix - looking forward to seeing what you do with the old tray cloths and table cloths.
Brambling - your elderly friend is probably so traumatised and scared at having to leave her home.
suzeesu2000 - everything is going up in price - I have to budget really carefully now there is £1400 per 4 weeks not coming into the house.
Dizzycap - you do so much - in back and neck braces - wow!
After a lot of pain during the day yesterday - I was okay when I went to bed. However I was soon awake with pain - took painkillers and got another freezer pack. I went to bed early - watch says that I had nearly 8 hours sleep - it of course doesn't pick up pain levels during that time.
I am worried about the delivery - will need help. I have put notes in my phone case - bribery for the courier.

It is such a lovely day again. Yesterday was also gorgeous weather wise. I walked the 40 minute walk home as it was so nice listening to music on my headphones. I talked to a few lovely new people yesterday while I was out.
The cleaner is here at the moment and when she is finished we have two donation bags to take to the charity shop and then we are taking my dog for a walk.

Afternoon all. Lovely day here. Windows all open and washing out. Painter came and finished off woodwork this morning. Sox was pleased to see kitchen being put straight although I have made a few changes. The kitchen is now complete except for filling up a picture frame. I can also find pictures for bedrooms and hallway. Now the new loft ladder is in place it should be easier to find all the pictures which went in the loft when I moved in. That will be a post holiday job. Meeting decluttered this morning - a few frogs to do post meeting but will get them sorted this evening.
Bedroom 3 carpet coming tomorrow. I think I will do the outer hall next and get the flooring laid - lounge may have to wait for a while but at least I know the ceiling is good and only needs a coat of paint - what is under the wallpaper remains to be seen but painting over it won't work as walls channelled out for rewiring. I love all those darker colours people are picturing and plan to use one in the loo and possibly the bathroom. Will go for white sanitary wear and light colour tiles but some darker paint elsewhere with towels to match. Painter said he will be able to come and do outer hall when I am ready and I have enough paint left over in the correct colour as only small areas of wall.
A little bit of gardening done but taking it carefully. I don't want to be stiff and sore for the plane journey.

After decluttering the crispy strawberry patch pot last winter (it hadn’t enjoyed last summer) I bought some new strawberry plants last weekend and potted them up today.
I had become aware of an escapee strawb that had rooted itself in the flower bed and thought to myself ‘Oh I’ll dig that up and add it to its new friends’….turns out that one plant was actually 9 which were lurking amongst the violets.
So now I have 15 plants! Please ignore the weeds (feeding the bees) and I’m slowly stuffing the gaps with some of the thuggish violets. The violets here do not shrink and certainly aren’t shy.
Bin store has been ordered.Peas have been planted.
I now need to find a home for the courgette now that I have 2 strawberry patch pots!I may also have to find a new pot for the tomato too……

Lovely day today so perfect to have a chap doing some work on some of the garden wood stuff. Repaired the little shed roof and 2 coats of colour on it (apparently we shouldn't leave it 7 years between top ups!). Repaired the railing by the big shed (wrong colour but we can sort that at some point). reset the 2 garden arches that were made and put in last autumn but were wobbly and leaning. (some discussion about the quality of the work by a different chap who today's chap knows). A bit of a tidy of the garden gate (which I love) that was installed by the different chap but had swollen in the damp weather and made it difficult to open. Chap was grateful for the cold water available in the garage fridge (which he restocked) and that there was some place to keep his lunch cool out of the sun. But basically that was a solid (as far as i could tell) 8 hours work for £500 which also paid for materials/roof felt/paint. Which reminds me that the very old and nasty roof felt I got off freegle can be binned.
We were discussing how work is going for him generally (trained carpenter) and he says it's a bit spotty. Which explains why he was willing to be doing roofing and painting. I do have a project I might get him back for - some sort of hat rack for the OH's copious pork pies and fedoras. But OH will have to decide what's to be done and neither of us have enough brain cells currently due to covid. I do wonder too about getting him back to paint the large shed as well as the garden gate. We shall see. Getting the garden itself seen to is more urgent.
Oh and he removed a random bit of wooden bin thingme that had been hidden behind the little shed. It's out front of the house in pieces. I'll ask the neighbours if they want it for their outdoor fires - they'll be out there regularly from now until October so need lots to burn. If they don't want it's easy enough to pop in the OH's car to take to the tip - we need to go in any case.
Also I need to pop around to one of the bungalows behind our house - there's a letter from a pension company (I think) that we received when we were away so no idea how long it's been waiting to get to her. Not helped by our current "once every other week" postal service.

Wednesday is another lovely sunny day with a forecast high of 24°C with a S wind making it feel just 1° cooler & a low of 8°C Not sure if I mentioned that DH had made a soup 🤨 so despite the warmer weather we each had a bowl & very tasty it was too 🤤
Yorkie1, ouch to your broken finger 😣 although I am relieved to hear that you have been treated & are not experiencing too much pain 😮💨 No more shears for you, young lady said in a suitably prim voice 😉 Hopefully you managed to transfer all the data from your broken phone to your new phone 🙏 although I imagine that you could have done without the expense 😞 Your lovely friends have made life so much easier 🥹 Good luck with your new phone 🍀
Florenceem, I am relieved to hear that you decided not to unpack & build the IK*A units on your own 😥 I am sure it was easier & more fun with J helping you 🥹 More great work from J 👏 Hopefully your sewing machine will be delivered at a reasonable time of day 🤞
suzeesu2000, good luck going through your DH’s T-shirt collection 🍀 Fingers crossed that MSE solution to painting furniture is a roaring success 🤞 Well done on continuing to use up freezer contents 👏 Hopefully your ”track every penny” mission will highlight some potential savings especially if your DH is joining in 🙏

Brambling, sorry to hear about your elderly friend 😞 Sounds like she is struggling with the decision (however sensible & practical) 🥺 now that things are moving so quickly 😔 Great work by you & your sister sorting out your garden 👏 All that hard work has earned you each a medal🏅 🏅 Very sensible of your sister to request hg tomatoes as a thank you for helping out ☺️ Good luck sorting out your 2nd financial frog 🍀
Dizzycap, very impressive work in the garden 👏🤩 From your previous photos it already looks wonderful so I imagine it will look even better with even more Lillie’s & so many snowdrops 😍 Pleased to hear that Babyface is recovering so well as it sounds like she has been very ill. Hopefully the vet will give her a clean bill of health & you can start weaning her off the steroids 🙏
suzeesu2000, I will keep everything crossed that you get some sales very soon 🤞
Dizzycap, what a great deal on meat 🤩 Another very busy ‘morning’ with all your chores done before a lot of people are up & dressed 👏 Keeping my fingers crossed that the gardener turns up to mow the lawn & that you can persuade him to plant out your donated plants 🤞🙏 Please accept 💐 & gentle cwtches 🤗 - for looking after Babyface so well all whilst still in back & neck braces 🥹 Fingers crossed for the ‘All Clear’ for Babyface 🤞Good luck dealing with today’s mail & cleaning up in your office 🍀

DH was up walking neighbours dog before I got up. Then he was out washing car before I finished breakfast. He is so bored without bowls that we are getting a lot done. I cut back camelia bush to stop pigeons returning. ( They keep nesting in it but their eggs either drop straight through or the local cats get to them) It was getting far too tall anyway and blocks light from our neighbours living room window. As I was cutting it back a pigeon arrived carrying a twig so I was only just in time. I swear they were very cross as they pooed all over DH s freshly cleaned car!!! This afternoon we took all the cuttings to the tip.Front garden looks twice as big.

When sewing machine delivery arrived - chap said sorry he was late - I hadn't been given a time. He was a lovely man - brought the machine which it was bolted onto a pallet into my drive.
Very well packaged.
I had ordered wheels on this machine - it has brakes on all four. Chap is not supposed to bring the pallet any closer than the curb so I promised not to dob on him. He asked me where I wanted it and we got it into the hall.
I didn't bribe him - I Blessed him with some lunch money. He said - that's too much - no he was so helpful.
I popped into town to post some Birthday cards and get a few bits of shopping. Met someone on the bus who I worked with when I was 18. We had a lovely chat.
I made space on the top landing for the new furniture boxes.
In a lot of pain in the late afternoon - laid on the bed after taking painkillers and using a freezer pad and nodded off.
