13/52 - completion of a frog to redecorate my utility room. Including new built in shelving by my woodworking DH and a belfast sink. So pleased but that took WAY longer than I thought. 3+ years eek!
14/52 - final items from utility cleared out to recycling or bin.

Rootle, it may have taken 3 years but it is done and dusted!
I am feeling better after my visitors. Confession time. My knee pain was so vicious I took 2 of Mr V’s codene that he had from his cancer treatment. I have basically been asleep or out of it for 2 days. Lesson learned.
6 loads of washing done and line dried. sheets, towels, cat beds etc. 1 more to do.
Looking forward to hearing all about your motorbike travels Mrs SD.
As promised, the dark blue little bedroom. Flooded with gorgeous sunshine. Not keen on previous wallpaper but as there is nothing wrong with it l just painted it.
Going back to catch up.

@Florenceem it sounds odd, but are you drinking enough water? Sometimes going to the loo more happens through being dehydrated.

Afternoon all and a very belated happy Easter!
Everyone's garden, craft and decorating projects look lovely - well done!
I had an uneventful journey to Mum's. It then got a little more unexpected on Easter Saturday as, while using the shears to prune a light shrub, I fractured (minor) a bone in my left hand. I then broke my mobile phone later in the day. You don't realise how much your life and data gets tied into that device until you lose access to it!
On Easter Day we went to an earlier church service than our usual church (still part of our parish; it was lovely to be back in the church where I was confirmed in the Church of England 40+ years ago), and then onto the local minor injuries unit for an x-ray. I have a hand splint and finger tubigrip, but it doesn't hurt most of the time and it's not my dominant hand. Plus a referral letter to take to my fracture unit when I get home.
When we came out of the unit, we found that the car wing mirror's cover had popped off, so I picked it up.
My best friend still lives locally, so her husband picked us up to go to visit my friend (I can't drive because od this, and mum didn't feel up to it), and we went via the local Argos to buy a new phone. So much research - I got analysis paralysis.
When he dropped us back home, he also managed to get the car wing mirror's cover back on.
The local station I was planning to get the train home from, doesn't have steps to the platform I need, so again my friend has offered to take me to another local station on the same line, which does have a lift. Then I will try to book passenger assistance for the intercity train home.
We are very blessed to have such good friends.
Mum and I have just been for our traditional short walk to near the river, using the Merlin bird app and trying out the new phone's camera. It's all very complicated but in 3 months' time I'm sure it will feel second nature. In the meantime, typing with a reduced number of fingers is fun!!

@vulpix - room looks so good.
Floss - think I drink enough.
J had to pop out to buy some masking tape. He did 2 coats of primer.
15 boxes were delivered from Ike.
My sewing machine is arriving tomorrow - had a phone call from the company - reason - bank holiday.
We put 3 units together. J was here 6 1/2 hours. I had had enough - in a lot of pain even though I have taken 2 doses of pain killers.
J won't be here again until Thursday. He will need to top coat the skirting board first when he arrives. I won't attempt to put any units together myself.
Some of the units must be in multiple boxes - I hope there are no missing bits.
I got my water rates bill today - no longer get the essentials tariff.
Need to pop out for some air and milk.

It’s been such a beautiful day. 3rd darks load on line and all dry and folded. Not putting any away as DH and I need to really go through all his T-shirts, and he has about a million of them. He wears T-shirt and shorts at home. So that’s a job to do.
Decided I am NOT going to buy any paint to repaint the bedroom units and the little white one from the landing. We have an unopened 5litre and an opened 5litre tins of white emulsion. Going to add some brown pain I already have and hope for the best! I have got varnish to hover the paint so it wears better, fingers crossed.
Dinner totally freezer for us both, tea fridge.Looking very hard at how to get our expenses down, we seem to be getting rid of a lot of it and I can’t really see where. I’m going to do a “track every penny” for a month and see if that helps. I did cancel a local lottery today, only £5 a month but that can pay for a weeks pantry

There will be lots of cardboard to go when recycling week comes around.
I am hoping that we get the rest of the units made on Thursday. I won't be able to get them in the correct places until the paint is dry. I will ask builder J to fix them to the walls.
I need to clear the top landing so that the new boxes of furniture that are blocking the way into the old office can be put there. Then I can start sorting out what I will put downstairs in the new units.
