I'm in please Mrs SD. I aim to empty and clear all of my cupboards and drawers and only put back in what I use or love. I am hoping that by concentrating on this I will then have other stuff and house will become tidier and easier to clean.
I will also use all of the left over paint, grout, picture hooks etc that we have to fix the problems and make each room more homely. I will be counting our front and back gardens as a room so all in all that's
Also I aim to make £200 from sales of home wares not needed by having a car boot sale later in the year and selling a few bits on Wightbay. I will count each £25.00 in as a win
10 x rooms + craft shed
34 x cupboards and drawers
8 x £25.00 sales = 53 things in total.
Hopefully this will keep me more focused and mean that you don't have too much to do to keep up with me Mrs SD.
Good luck everyone

Could I join again this year?
Specific goals:
Be able to store all my clothes in my existing wardrobe and chest of drawers. Some clothing decluttering, but more removal of non clothing items from in and in front of the furniture...
Get and keep kitchen table clear for eating at. Removal of my stuff on it, detering Elder Son from piling stuff on it.
Laundry basket to return to its storage space on the spin dryer. Elder Son to remove deer skull from box on the spin drier.
General goal: keep sofas clear and accessible so people can sit on them.22 -
Oh my, that 'remove deer skull from box on spin drier' reminds me of 'brother to remove box of rocks from livingroom' (box had been there 40 years iirc 😆 😂 ) keeping fingers crossed 🤞 😆 🤣

Happy New Year everyone and Good Luck with all the decluttering plans 🥂🎉
Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger for always keeping the EDT going in the right direction and full of motivation and support 🙏💐
I am in for 2026 and there won’t be numbers or specific areas named in advance. It seems that I am best to launch an unheralded attack on my clutter! Once it knows that I am coming for it something happens to sabotage me. Opportunistic forays into clutter ridden spaces will henceforth be my tactic for 2026.
An aspect that will continue will be the analysis of what carries meaning for me now, rather than holding on to old things for the sake of it. I recently wore a very old dress but I still love it, it still suits me and who I am. There are many other items that won’t pass that test and I intend to move them on as much as I can.19 -
guerilla decluttering 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣

Wow, the train is already speeding along.
Happy new year.
Lovely walk over to Greenwich thus morning with friend who stayed..dd2 has decluttered much of the left over food but with some for when dd1 comes over tomorrow.
Dd1 texted me happy New year along with 'we will make 2026 the year your house is decluttered'.
Aiming for 2026 digital and physical items
Checked my 2 email accouns - have 21k emails with around 5k unread. Would love to get to a total of 2,600 emails if possible.
Hoping decluttering will make it easier to clean etc and make time to read 26 books, watch 26 films/ documentaries ( and maybe include drama series as my chill activity).
I don't think I'll move this year but would be love to be in the position that the amount of stuff wouldn't make this overwhelming if the opportunity arose.
Looking forward to following the redistribution journeys of everyone and any item is a win

🤭 Managed to sleep through all the fireworks last night 😮 it’s so bizarre as I’m normally such a light sleeper! Hubster thinks it’s down to being so sleep deprived lately.. He stood at the bedroom window for a while to watch it all going on & still I slept 🤣
Enjoyed a proper slow start too by watching the last episode of Stranger Things in bed, was happy with the ending ☺️
Enjoyed a nice cooked breakfast and once cleaned up caught up with various people and also collected a parcel of books.. (all new to me & had used some of my birthday pennies to buy so not counting as an “in” for 2026 😇)
Nothing gone out today, we decided on a day off from “doing”.. tomorrow however I’d like to make a list of things we want to complete either in our house & garage or at our Ma’s homes.. It’ really does help me to see things written down, then I can plan better..
Oh I noted earlier while updating my signature that I’ve posted 999 times..
So this is my 1000th post!! 🎉
I’m rather chuffed with that 🥳"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
