Morning all - Happy Twixmas
Had a lie in but DW & WM now on.
Aiming for level 2 today plus start work on the 2026 budget (household one, not Rachel-from-accounts one🤭)
I also need to return a parcel (supposedly part of gift which turned out to be nothing to do with the gift, but instead was a 'people who purchased ABC went on to purchase XYX' and I stupidly added it to trolley). Luckily, it qualifies for free return as it was bought online.
Eerrmmm, did have another need-to-do but have forgotten what it was 🤷♀️
Must have ☕️, then get on with it

Morning all
rolled in at gone 1am having had SD moaning about his phone for half the journey which he has misplaced at my sister's. It fell oiut of his trouser pocket so I suggested he put it in his coat pocket. But it wasn't there...he can't remember where he put it. So we are hoping it turns up... apparently it cost him £600 (an i phone no less). Will he have 'find my i phone on his i pad? I doubt it. other than that we had a great time.

Had a late finish last night updating my budget, shaving a bit here and adding a bit there until every penny is allocated somewhere, even if it is the £11.72 into my savings account each month 😂.
woke up at 6 and decide 5 hours wasn’t enough so got up took painkillers and went back to sleep until 830.
Have declutterred a cuppa and bacon sandwich, showered, tracked my dad for a bit trying to guess what he is up to this morning, and now in the kitchen raring to go with the list.

Morning all (although it will probably be afternoon by the time I post this)
My list for today
Laundry x 2 loads
Load the DW and switch on
S&S kitchen
Have a look at online sales, as there are a couple of things I could do with getting
Take the dog for a long walk
Deal with Mr T order
Take V order to post if the post office is open
Replace the light in the fish tank and clean the filter
Take DD to the stables so she can do some work with and feed her pony
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Monday

Happy Monday!
it might be bin collection day tomorrow, or it might have moved to Wednesday or Thursday or next week 🤷♀️. Anyway I've done a quick scoot round and filled a small bin bag with stuff to throw out. Silly bits and pieces like a bra with a missing underwire that doesn't fit, a completely gunged up nail varnish, odd socks etc etc. it feels nice to do a bit of de-cluttering.
i'll do some organising and cleaning in the kitchen before cooking supper.11 -
Hello All,
Have been poorly all over Christmas thanks to GS and his lurgy from nursery. Still don't feel 100% but have to get going, even if it's slowly before the house gets bad again.
Went to my parents this morning to go through my budget etc and for my mum to update me on all the extended family news/gossip.
Was meant to meet up with my friend to exchange presents today, I didn't see him over Christmas due to being ill but it is his parents anniversary so he wouldn't have much time so we postponed til the weekend.
Completed level 1 and sorted out the dry washing on the airer (not put away yet).
I've also ordered one cat's flea treatment (to be collected tomorrow) but I'm not allowed to order the other cat's as its not due til the 23rd 😒
Just going to write a list of stuff I need to get done tomorrow before I make something to eat. Only jacket potato tonight as I don't really have an appetite. Not even for the nice Christmas bits I have in the cupboard.

I've been putting off stripping the turkey but it's now done. Hurrah! It's bin day tomorrow and as I'm not a fan of bone broth the carcass is going then too. Good. I foresee a fair few turkey and lentil or chickpea salad lunches over the next few months, interspersed with other things.Another load of laundry through the WM and dangling outside. There's a slight chance of a shower but I had enough for a load so the rest has been brought in and is airing in my RoD on racks.More work on my 2026 diary, which still isn't finished. Co-ordinated diaries with Belovéd who hasn't been writing in his what I've been telling him I've booked and paid for for 2026 so he's all over the place with my comings and goings.I also renewed my travel insurance for an earlybird discount. I was going to pay it out of my newly created Sinking Fund but as I don't want to withdraw any money from that account until January it's come out of my everyday account and that means the sinking fund will start with a decent chunk of money going in. Things are going to be tight for a few days but I can live with that, and it means I can pay the dentist up front for the treatment I need in late January. I want to get to the point where I don't have to calculate whether I can afford the regular chunks - car MOT, travel insurance, house insurance; all the annual bills. I don't mind not being able to assume I can immediately afford a new laptop if the old one gets dropped, or the car's brake pads and discs, I need to be more grown up about the regular stuff. By the end of the year I really hope the sinking fund will have enough momentum behind it to have stored up the chunk for the dropped laptop and/or the car's brakes. If it's in my current account I spend it so I've been working on finding a way to stop me frittering away my pension.Yesterday I bit the bullet and signed up for a SIM only deal (one of Martin's blagged ones) so I'm waiting for the SIM to arrive. I've known for 18 months I should do this but for some reason just didn't feel brave enough to try it. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly. Some vacuuming done, some cupboards wiped down and a stab at drawing up a plan for Flying, which if I can stick to it will make a big difference.Better is good enough.6

Big walk with DS1, 8.25 miles and 1283ft climbed in 2 hours 50 minutes, I was shattered! We had taken snacks and coffee but ended up in a cafe on the way home, we were both so hungry. This cost me £18 which I hadn't budgeted for, but the time with DS, just the two of us, was lovely.
Had a shower and nap when I got in then made pizza. I have done a load of laundry and put it over the airer. Oh and I have also hoovered and mopped the kitchen floor because I couldn't ignore it any longer! DW is on.
HB I have savings pots for things like car repairs, heating oil, house repairs and medical expenses. It is really good having the money set aside and has helped me to stop using credit.
I think we are going to the coast tomorrow, we also need to plan food for NY Eve and NY Day.9
