The Faster Payments Cut Off Times List

Welcome to this thread. The purpose of this thread is to provide a regularly updated list of the cut off times for faster payments made into the savings accounts offered by various banks and building societies to begin earning interest the same day.

Given the sheer number of banks/building societies there's bound to be some I've missed so if anyone notices any errors or there are accounts missing, feel free to post a message in this thread with the cut off time and I can add it to the list.

At present I'm only maintaining a list of cut off times for faster payments made into the account to begin earning interest the same day, however do not rule out expanding the list to include the cut off times for faster payments out at some stage in the future, it'll depend on demand and how much time I have on my hands.

I intend this thread to be specifically for faster payment cut off times. If you wish to discuss anything account specific, please use one of the designated discussion threads or launch a new thread.

Zopa - made a payment out at about 7pm last night and it hasn't earned interest for that day (easy to tell with Zopa because they show you the amount of pending interest)

So - to try and get my head round the implications of this. Payday for me is today. The money consistently arrives in my Santander account at 9:30pm the day before, and is freely transferable at that point. So if I moved it to my Trading 212 ISA after 9:30 yesterday  - I'd have received a days interest for yesterday?

    Presumably
    * 'no cut off' means there definitely is no cut off and
    * 'no stated cut off' means there could be a cut off but we don't know what it is ?

I think you are right. Santander definitely state you have  until 20:15 the same working day to prevent overdraft charges. I have often made payments out of my Santander account around that time and they were executed instantly but did show with the next day’s date. I wouldn’t want to make my deposits too close to 20:15.
