Someone put bagged dog waste in my bin
Comments
-
I see this happening on my street (though not specifically in my bin I think). The odd dog walker will dump bags into neighbours bins (seems to be generally where the bins are stored permanently close to the path).
It's a minor annoyance, it's a little disrespectful (in my opinion). I have dogs and wouldn't pop my poop in someone else's bin but overall I doubt any offence is being committed.
Plenty more important things to worry about!

Put bins out for waste collection and someone put bagged dog waste in my bin have evidence off our cctv. Our council have said no offence has been committed and the contents he put in our bin are un known. It was clearly
bagged dog waste he had his dog with him which was peeing up our neighbours bin when he did it. Is this an offence. It's not the first time it's happened either. We have a lot of dog walkers go past our house there are plenty of dog waste bins so what would be the excuse to use my bin?
Then go back to the council and tell them they are wrong (quoting the reputable source that says they are wrong, of course) and ask them what they are going to do about this offence.Wittykitty10 said:Yes, in the UK, it is an offence to put bagged dog poo in someone else's private bin without their permission, even if the bin itself is owned by the council I've found this this out from several people.
I think it's down right disrespectful2 -
Don't see the issue to be honest. It's gone in your bin, not through your letterbox1

One reason i love dog walking on a Thursday night - all the bins are out for Fri am collection0

Used to happen at a friend's house and it annoyed him so he put a lock on the bins.He wasn't a dog lover

From my point of view, it’s not really an issue if someone puts a bag in my bin while it’s out. At the end of the day, it’s for rubbish collection, and it’s cleaner than leaving dog waste on the pavement. I just hope people use it responsibly, but I don’t see it as a big problem.2

That is a bit unusual, normally you only find them in parks/green spaces and then often quite a distance between each one, if you can find one at all.2 -
That depends where you are. We have a significant number of dog waste bins on our streets. Unfortunately they are then lacking in the green spaces and people don't seem to want to carry their waste back to the nearby roads. Still at least those of us with some hygiene standards can collect up the waste bags left behind. Much more preferable to standing in unbagged mess.Albermarle said:We have a lot of dog walkers go past our house there are plenty of dog waste bins
