Whatsapp searching

Is there a way to put some kind of organisation in to the whatsapp search?
So I've been getting family members to whatsapp me Xmas ideas & I've had the texts be tagged with an easily searchable term - Xmas25, so that when I come to get stuff ordered in I can find it easily & quickly.
Except the search seems carp.
The earlier ideas weren't tagged at all so I just threw in the term "Xmas".
The first few results are from 2021 working backwards from December '21.
Then as I continue to scroll it randomly jumps to a text from today which contained that word.
Continue to scroll and i go in to texts from earlier this month, then in to last month.
No organisation at all. Obviously (I'd have though) the search should be most recent to least., not a random jumble.

I just copy any such message (long press, copy icon) and paste into Keep Notes, one note per Christmas list. My rationale is that suggestions and hints may come from places other than Meta/WhatsApp.
