Opening night happened without mishaps. The frocks didn't fall apart, the actors didn't forget their lines, it was almost sold out and the audience got the jokes, laughed a lot and joined in as appropriate. Belovéd and the cast are all very happy and went to the pub to celebrate, as they should.I walked home with a friend and we had chips on the way. Perfect.Today there will be flying of an extremely desultry type before an early supper, going to see the play again and then doing the get out.On the theatre digs side of things, which has almost run down to a full stop since the pandemic, two lovely technical people with one of the big touring companies contacted me for the first time in years to tell me that their company policy of block booking hotel accommodation has come to an end and can they come back to stay next March. I'm so delighted that I want to say, 'Yes of course, but I don't need your money. You're old friends,' But I probably won't - it might spoil an otherwise perfect relationship. But I am so, so pleased they want to come back. I don't miss doing theatre digs, which sort of wound down completely after the pandemic but old friends and people who have been recommended by those that have stayed before will always be welcome. I loved it while it lasted but it's also lovely to have the house to ourselves for most of the time.Despite not having read the books or watched the films (not a fan of fantasy) Strands with no hints, Connections with no lives lost in quick time (extremely unusual) and Wordle in three. Unheard of.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.6

Good morning my lovelies 😘
I was awake at six but refused to even think about getting up at that time on a not work day - Strands completed with no hints (I love the books), Wordle completed in three, Connections completed with two lives lost, then mindless games of solitaire until my yearning for a brew overcame me and I got up at 7.
I've taken my meds, turned over the calendars, changed Joey's seed and water, written my Saturdailies/ To Do This Weekend list, put put fresh tea towels, put out fresh towels, showered, washed my hair, shaved, moisturised, got dressed, fed the birds, put out the rubbish, put out the recycling, put fresh bin bags in bins, brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, set first load swishing, supped two brews, and I've just sat down for a coffee and a catch up with you all.

A later than normal post from me today.
My list for today
Take the dog for a long walk
Deal with Mr T delivery
Post the empty ink cartridges
Load the DW and switch it on
Apply for a couple of jobs
Do some festive shopping
Make a budget spreadsheet for 2026

I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday/weekend7 -
Late in today, but that is mainly due to having achieved very little. I lost a couple of hours in the craft room where time takes on a different dimension, have retrieved the Xmas wrapping from the loft, fed lunch to an unexpected visitor, WULTD after said visitor. Yesterday I did manage few flying jobs in the kitchen, including descaling the kettle, cleaning a window, sink cleaning, maybe other jobs that I can’t remember. LR dusted and vacuumed after the plasterer had left. DH is currently pulling out cut off pipes from under the landing floorboards, which will make the plasterer’s and carpenter’s jobs much easier. I hope.
weenancyinAmerica, thank you for the suggestion about edible flowers. I am trying to clear the last patch which will leave herbs, so edible flowers will go well there.Narc0lepsy, I love the idea of yarn toppers on the gateposts. I now regret having got rid of our posts.Well done to HB and her Belovèd.7 -
Morning all. Busy day yesterday and also spendy buy i now have a new waterproof coat, and new pans all of which we needed, lunch with a fried then out to a well-know theatre where we saw A Christmas Carol. Excellent production. I drove. I have discovered what another button does in my car. It is possible to stop the automatic wing mirrors folding in when parked!

Morning all,
The couple of bits of admin that I had been avoiding have been done. Took, oh maybe, 20 minutes max.I am frustrated with my lack of motivation and guag at the moment. No excuse that I can think of. Although now it has temporarily stopped raining, it is so murky and grey outside that guag probably doesn’t have a chance of emerging. It may just be another day faffing around in the “craft” room, candle lit, music on to suit the mood. Whistles nonchalantly as she makes her way upstairs….7 -
Morning all,
My list for today
Take the dog for a long walk
Sort through the Christmas food cupboard and update the shopping list
Do some festive shopping online
Put up the rest of the festive decorations Work in progress
@MadamMim2013 Thanks for the advice regarding selling on V at this time of year I have decided to pause posting on V.
Take DD to the stables so she can feed and check on her pony
HHI
Sort bags, clothes and lunches for tomorrow
I think that is everything that I need to get done. I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.6 -
I totally get what you mean @Fayolle, everything seems to have got up and gone.. Brain, body..mojo.. 😑😬
Was poorly during the night, the meanopause keeps changing its plan & I’m getting royally cheesed off with it..
B12 jab tomorrow and it cannot come soon enough, really needed it 2/3 weeks ago (& I’m grateful that I get one 8 weekly 😮💨)@MinnieMousesMummy, I’ve run a bit slow (non existent) with my Vinty at the moment.. Have purchased a couple things at the end of Nov, but not listed. I worry that it gets chaotic this time of year and things seem to be getting lost so much easier..🫤 Perhaps it depends on the area you live & I get mine dropped to a shop not lockers as locally there has been heaps of issues with them (there’s even a local area fb group to help peeps re-locate their goods! 😮 & grumble!) Hope that all your sales run smoothly & help make you some extra💰.
WM on, TD now on, DW emptied by hubster while I made porridge.. Now to hoover through and perhaps s/s the bathroom, depends on my body complying!Have a good Sunday everyone, whatever you do.. 💗"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
