Morning all, I'm a bit later posting this morning as it's been a busy morning. It's a lovely sunny but cold morning here.
My list for today
Attend uni revision session
Do paid stuff
Take the dog for a long walk
Check banking and dds
Apply for a couple of jobs
Sort through the cupboard and look into trading some cds/dvds as we never use them
Add 5 items to V
Take DD to the stables so she can feed and check on her pony
There's not much flying on my list today, but it is a busy day with uni/paid stuff, but I will aim to get a bit of decluttering done.
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday

Morning all.
Dailies and dog walk done. Sofa covers freshened, admin updated, bedding changed and first of three wash loads in machine. Wordle in six, one line on connections, strands with two hints.
I don't feel like flying but probably should do something before lunch and exercise class. Also have a parcel to post.
I have decided to watch a Xmas film while having an early lunch.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
I don't do very much ironing, @Honey_Bear ,so I'm not quite sure why @Fayolle should consider me an expert! But I agree with her and @Valli. Have the cloth (tea towel?) as damp as possible and don't put the iron on the highest setting: start medium/warm and turn it up gradually if necessary, or you'll flatten any intentional "cut" pattern. I used to make dungarees for my children from old ladies' old crimplene dresses, making the wrong side the right side because it hid the "middle aged" fabric patterns and left the finished article looking like denim!
Sorry to be MIA - nothing wrong, life is just very busy. I will try to post this evening. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxx7 -
Thank you Fayolle, Valli and Ionafan. I popped round to the local fabric and haberdashery shop run by the lovely Karen to buy some more bias binding and she offered help. She spends all of her time altering and mending clothes for customers and was a cutter for a well known fashion house so she knows her stuff but as the fabric wasn't bought there I was reluctant to ask her for advice. She offered, so I felt I could ask and her suggestion was pretty much what you've all said - she says she always uses a pressing cloth and starts as cool as possible, then gradually ramps up the temperature until it starts to have an effect and to do all of that dry. If that doesn't work - hit it with steam. I had to take it to the max and use max steam and that seems to be having an effect without damaging the fabric so we're on the right track.Thank you all so much for getting back to me so quickly.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.6

Afternoon all. After yesterday's hours of rain it was sunny this morning so we went for a walk/coffee/wander round the shop. Just as well because it's pouring again now.Not enough washing for a load today but I've kept up to date the last few days and I will start again tomorrow. Bed changed ready this morning so I can get it on when I get up tomorrow.Nothing else to report really, I dusted and vacuumed through downstairs yesterday. I'll do it again Friday. DS and his family coming on Saturday for the day, haven't seen them since July and DD1 and DGD3 coming too. So I'll be trying to squeeze things in my smallish oven and airfryer for lunch for everyone. At least I'll be able to send a big bag of Christmas presents off with them. I look forward to seeing them of course but with my tendency to overthink everything I'm getting quite stressed. I have a list.Hope everyone's OK x7

I have stacked the stuff for the attic and vacuumed and mopped floors. Fingers crossed DD is up for helping move it all up there when she gets back - she's gone to the gym after work so I'm not hopeful but realistically I cannot climb a ladder and carry stuff up.
And, in the ever-growing list of stuff I have lost (forever, some of it) I can now add the Christmas day scratchcards. 6 of them. *sigh*

The trouble with a lovely sunny Winter day is that all the smears and smudges on my shower screen spent the morning taunting me. Well I've cleaned and polished the pesky blighters so bring on the sunshine again tomorrow. I also did a quick clean and organise of the cupboard under the bathroom sink. Plenty of toiletries to use up. I also found a hand soap and handcream duo that I saved from earlier this year because the bottles are a glorious rich burgundy colour so they look very festive. My Santa handtowel is in use too.

Evening all
Today I managed to finish blitzing the kitchen, do some shopping, a bit of tidying & vacuumed everywhere. DW now on & I'll WUDUPA the excess.
New WM being delivered on Thursday - wasn't worth getting old one fixed. Washing piling up, so I'll be chanelling my inner Widow Twankey when the new one arrives 🧺"I started out with nothing
And still got most of it left"

Another thing worth trying - it's a bit random as it is usually used for indentations made by furniture on carpets, but you could put an ice cube on the creased bit and let it melt. Told you it was random.Honey_Bear said:Thank you Fayolle, Valli and Ionafan. Time seems to be marching on again, Mr N and I are still tired and coughing (not to mention tired of coughing) but pretty much back to normal activities albeit slowly and with rests.
Yesterday was my friend's funeral, I found it hard although I don't know if it was because it was the 4th loss this month (3rd funeral) and I'm worn out of holding it together, or because she was a friend I saw fairly regularly. Anyway I hope to go to no more for at least a few more months.
Still plodding on with Christmas cards but have begun to give some out as it was our fortnightly church group this evening and I'm not sure who will be at the next one. I have 3 'overseas' ones left to post (2 Ireland and 1 France) which I will take to the PO tomorrow.
Flying is fairly under control as regards essentials although it is starting to look a bit messy now as so many things are on the go. It isn't going to be very much of a flying catchup week as tomorrow is aqua aerobics, work and the work carol service; Thursday is a couple of gym classes and a double drumming lesson (tutor is away next week); Friday is possibly aqua followed by our biker friends Christmas lunch. So little and often is going to be this week's motto.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.7 -
Morning,
Yesterday, I loaded the dishwasher, S/S the kitchen sides.
I had the job centre so I took a couple of carriers of stuff for the charity shop as DD2 was helping out. Paid the rent (activating new bank card) had a little look round the shops with DD2 when she'd finished her shift.
On the way home I got the bus as close to Mr A as possible, walked the rest of the way. Collected my meds and brought a few bits and pieces I needed, then walked home. I was dead when I got in.
U loaded the DW and put washing away and that was me done.
I will try harder today. Currently the man from the TV channel company is here fitting cables for faster Internet stuff (as I've said stuff I don't understand) so I'm having a coffee. After he's gone ill start on my list.
