I did get an email on 5/12 from customer services that said "Fresh update from our Sales team says that your refund is in work and all necessary data have been processed", but that's the last I've heard from them.I sent a LBA on 10/12 to their UK office (actually Lenovo, who are the parent of Motorola) as provided in their Terms of Sale giving them until 20/12 to make the refund so there are still a few days to go before that deadline, and I hope they pay up before then.If they don't then I'm prepared to spend the £70 to raise a MCOL claim, but I wonder whether there are grounds to request Lloyds to consider a refund, either by a Chargeback for a different reason to the one discussed previously or by a S75 claim? If anyone has any suggestions I'll be happy to hear them.
You haven't really given them long in your LBA. Taking into account the postal service at this time of year.
I haven't, but as I've been asking for the refund for over 5 weeks already I don't see why they should be allowed any more time to do what they should have done without needing to be prompted.0 -

When my deadline to Motorola arrived last Friday (19th December) with no sign of the refund I rang Lloyds and they seemed happy to process a Chargeback, but needed to wait so that 15 days from 5th December (which is when I was told the refund was being made) had elapsed.I therefore rang again today and having taken more details they have submitted the Chargeback, so I will hopefully see the money back on my credit card in 3-5 working days, which should mean by the end of December.I wouldn't expect Motorola to challenge it but in case they do I have all my evidence ready to send to Lloyds should they ask for it - I was a little suprised to find that they don't need anything in advance.Just to add (16:43 22/12) I received a text from Lloyds to say they had paid the full amount back to my card, and when I check I can see that the available balance has gone up by £700.98, although there's no transaction listed so I wonder if they've simply amended the available balance amount or if a transaction will get posted overnight.0

Lloyds have now posted an adjustment transaction for a credit of £700.98, so hopefully that'll be the end of it.0
