Just logged into Novuna and the balance says zero, from £12,315.54! The original loan was for £11,000.  I’ve been paying £241 a month for 22 months.
This is brilliant for you ☺️
The interest these companies charge is disgusting and should be illegal 😡
I don’t think I thought the maths through when I took out the loan, but seeing it in black and white that I have paid over 5k and still owed more than the original loan amount was sickening.

I've currently got one similar, loan for £23000, paid £16851, still owe £17096, they get you when you're at your most desperate and it's wrong.

While having momentum from yesterdays success, I have sent an affordability complaint to Next.

I was often late paying nd last year they sent an email stating they had noticed I was only making the minimum payment.  They didn’t lower my credit limit or prevent further ordering though, which I have stated in the complaint.

ive nothing to lose by asking, and as has been said many times here, if there is a case then its worth trying.

Hi, I'm currently paying off all of my debts and not going through a DMP so not sure if I'll be eligible to do this?

Yes you can. If the loan is causing you difficulty and making you use cards more, it is unaffordable even if you have made every payment on time.

it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, but thought I’d update that in the last week I’ve had 2 letters. One being from barclaycard stating that it’s a default notice and what they ‘may’ do next. It states the debt owed as far less than the balance though which I presume is the arrears accumulated from missed payments.

The other letter is from M&S bank, they’ve written off the loan which was for around £4300 so that’s good news at least. Still waiting on the others but I really hope the large Virgin credit card goes the same way as the M&S one.
