If you haven't sent it yet, add:
There are no contractual terms even offered to visitors. No obligations that could relate to anyone except residents. So, how can legitimate visitors, tradespeople, doctors, cleaners, nurses, posties, taxi drivers or couriers obtain a permit? Where do they pull over or park for a legitimate call on a relative, friend, patient, etc.?
It's bad enough that a relative or other visitor (especially out of hours or at a weekend) can't email for a permit, let alone get one on the spot by phoning a (likely unmanned, unanswered) number, but you've stated that they cannot visit at all. The woefully inadequate sign hidden on a wall only talks about 'residents permits'. As does your reply.
Are you happy to have created a prison where your residents (even when ill, as was the case here) are completely isolated? Seriously?

Can ChirpyChicken be reported for trolling and derailing the thread?
I honestly don't know what his intention is but it is incredibly unhelpful and wasting everyone's time0 -
No, he wasn't. I know him personally as a friend for years and he fights PPCs. He also says what he sees with short replies to save time. That can be misunderstood!usernamenotfound said:Can ChirpyChicken be reported for trolling and derailing the thread?

I understood where he was coming from. He genuinely thought you must be mistaken about the car park (it does happen a lot on here). After all, we hadn't seen the PCN and were convinced this wasn't PEye.
Neither of us could believe this was a ParkingEye site as in all the decades we've never seen one like this without signs on poles, and PEye don't 'do' residential sites.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

they have moved more into residential sites over the last couple of years with "new solutions"Coupon-mad said:

my point is if you look at the entrance photos of the car park, the one with signs and one with no signs
look at the buildings and look at the angles
they are different,
(As an aside i was doing a networking event today and told the hotel to stick with parking eye as opposed to changing as they said the tender was up for renewal"- said there are far worse then PE!)
and ha that sums me up!3 -
Look at the 2nd and the 2nd to last photos on post on post 792

Then I am lucky to be the first one I guess.
I f*ing hate ParkingEye, I dealt with them many years ago at an Aldi Store which you graciously helped me with and I am extremely grateful for. So it's always a pleasure to see you still active on MSE after all these years.
I'm not well versed in residential vs commercial car parks, but this is genuinely the car park that was parked in, and the paperwork from PE correlate exactly with date and time this happened.
It's a new development, and there are many non-permanent residents, as is the case with our visit. So perhaps PE is expanding its horizons.1 -
I've sent the email to Carters Surveyors now.
Will put POPLA on standby until next week.2 -
Hopefully that will see it cancelledusernamenotfound said:I've sent the email to Carters Surveyors now.

I'm not so sure. They sound utterly clueless. How can they create a development with camera surveillance and no thought for legit visitors, nurses, tradesmen & relatives, etc?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
