Lovely catch up with my friend (who very kindly paid for coffee!) I did spend £20 on some Christmas lights but that’s all for today so not too bad.Tomorrow I need to go out and buy some bits for school stocking donations, it’s to help local vulnerable children so I’m more than happy to spend money on that. I’ve budgeted around £20 but a lot of the items should only £1-£2, if I go over I’m not too concerned as it would make me happy to know we’ve hopefully made a difference to a child’s Christmas and we are fortunate enough to have the money to do so.I also need to pop into Mr L’s, which is next door to where I’ll be, and grab a top up shop.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Thank you beanie.beanielou said:A lovely thing to do.This time of year can be a struggle for so many people, I’ve always considered myself (when I was a child) and my children very fortunate at Christmas, full stockings, presents under the tree and always more than enough food etc. So it only seems right to try and help those less fortunate.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Trip to the shop was successful. Managed to pick up a bag full of bits for school stocking donations so very happy. Think I ended up spending around £40 altogether but it’s worth it.Spent another £68.40 on Christmas and house bits, managed to pick up a tree skirt for youngest Christmas tree, selection boxes, tubs of chocolates, cleaning supplies. Popped next door to Mr L and spent £49.89 on top up bits. Going to be quite hard to have many NSD’s now with Christmas on its way!🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Majority of the house work done this morning, off to meet another friend for coffee at same garden centre as Monday!I did manage to finally sort out the shoe cupboard yesterday, it literally took 10 mins but I’ve been putting it off for ages! Was really just a case of putting summer shoes away so we had more room for winter shoes. Simple!I do really need to clean the oven also, I’m hoping I have time when I get home this afternoon before I need to start dinner if not that’ll be a job for tomorrow. I don’t have any plans for tomorrow or Friday apart from cleaning to get the house ready for Christmas decs at the weekend. The weather is awful here today 😕🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Back home now, spent £46.45 🙈 treated my friend to lunch as it was her birthday. We don’t do presents, we do lunch instead. Probably won’t have dinner this evening as I had a large lunch and cake after!I did spot that the garden centre sells selection of the Jeremy Clarkson drinks. Hubby likes the beer so I’ll grab some of those and pick up a couple of different ciders etc as I’m sure he’d like to try them. They will be put by for a Christmas present.Last load of washing on so just have to hang that on the airer once finished. Really hoping to catch up on my book I’m reading, I’m only reading a chapter a the day at the mo.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

So today was supposed to be ‘cleaning’ day ready to put the decs up tomorrow but I’ve just not had it in me! No motivation at all. I did clean downstairs and 2 bedrooms on top floor but that’s about it 🙄 I’m hoping tomorrow morning I’ll have a bit more motivation and crack on with the rest.I have an A$da delivery coming tomorrow, it’s just a small shop, bits for a stew tomorrow evening and some fizzy drinks / Buck’s Fizz for Christmas! Will pop it all out into the garage so no one starts diving in!Going to check bank and hopefully pay £50 towards the mortgage shortly.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Decided to pay £100 off mortgage after checking my bank account. Can not wait to be in the £180’s when the mortgage cones out on the 1st! Very high £180’s but it feels like another bracket reached.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Had a quiet weekend at home. Put up the Christmas decorations yesterday but can’t seem to find my door wreath, wreath hanger and a set of lights 🙄 I’m guessing they’re all in a bag together somewhere! Will have another look in the loft today if not I’ll buy more. Spent just under £100 on Amazon last night, managed to get the shaver my 19 year old wanted on sale so happy with that. Also quite a few bits for youngest. I think, apart from a new tv for his room, he is basically sorted now as already picked up a few bits for him over the last couple of months. Eldest is a different story 😣 he hasn’t a clue what he wants.Need to catch up on a few bits in the house then hoping to pop to a couple of shops. I feel like all I’m doing is spending at the moment.Oh and payday arrived, I’m not going to make anymore overpayments until the mortgage comes out next week though, really don’t want to leave myself short with Christmas only a month away.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

I’m going to have a look at some challenges on here to join for next year. I like the sound of the MFW thread but need to think of a realistic goal I want to achieve 🤔 might have a look at some of the savings challenges too.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000
