DCB legal - letter of claim

First post so apologise in advance if this has been answered numerous times! I have read all the threads etc with regards to these fines. I have just received the avove from DCB Legal representing Parkmaven Ltd with regards to 3 parking fines for being over the 2 hour stay.  All 3 fines combined would be less than an hour over the 2 hour time slots however, I cannot argue with this. There are signs in the car park but not the biggest signs in the world and certainly not readable on entering the car park. Do I have a leg to stand on as the fine is now £571 or am I better off just paying?  Thanks in advance from a very worried newbie!

Yes your queries have been asked numerous times 

As a NEWBIE we would ask or hope that you study the announcements near the top of the forum,  7 of them, but mainly the NEWBIES sticky thread in announcements,  to get the basics about this complicated topic

Plus study the official MSE advice that was recently updated,  here on MSE

Now to your core issues 

There are no fines, that word wasn't on any of the paperwork,  definitely wasn't mentioned on your recent Letter of Claim,  or any previous paperwork,  Magistrates issue fines,  but aren't involved in private parking matters 

Do not pay, because they inflated each of the 3 charges by £70 a pop as debt collectors fees, usually these are binned in court cases 

Respond to DCB Legal by email to their info@ email address and copy and paste the LoC response template to the email,  using it as is, no changes,  but add their reference number and your name and address to it

Then await the inevitable N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL to arrive in the post in due course,  before xmas

How are they calculating £571?

Is it not 3x £100 + 3x £70 = £510?
