Number 23 reporting for duty 🫡. I’m waiting for my sealed pot savings account to mature next week before I can open a new one but I’ll be doing that again as a regular saver.  I have however decided cash is the way to go with groceries which hopefully means pennies for the pot after the weekly shop 🪙

Hope your holiday was great @jakes-mum
Although the body takes a time to recover (another hour change to adjust to tonight as well) I’m sure it was well worth it.
On my rare long distance journeys it takes me days to get over the jet lag

Saver number 21 stepping up to challenge number 19!  It's been my payday, so I've been able to pot £93 already.  A great start.  :)

I rarely use cash these days, I'm afraid.  We get a supermarket delivery every week, then a milkman delivery to the door so the "big" spending is done on card.  Then various bits of cashback/voucher purchases are all via card and/or online banking.  Doesn't mean I don't want to use cash as I feel it's important to keep it alive, but I'm rarely in a position to use cash - and subsequently pot it.  Anyway, I have honed a good virtual potting regime over the last couple of years, so hopefully I'm finding some sort of balance.

A very good Sunday all SPCers. I hope everyone's doing their best to stay warm in this icey weather! :o
To all those who are ill in in any way, or low in spirits at all. Take great care and love from all
    here at SPC  <3

It is to be and running again Ant
Thanks for the reminder to jakes-mum

So sorry jakes-mum, I meant to ask you yesterday if you'd had a good time while in Florida (I think) but in the end it slipped my mind. Anyway, I hope you really enjoyed yourselves.

Back to you Ant, I wouldn't have a clue about jet lag as I've only ever been to Germany with our daughter when she was teaching English there as part of her university course. I was terrified prior to going but (seeing double and all sorts) but ended up absolutely loving it, Germany too. There were problems when coming back and we ended up having to circle around London several times, even that was marvelous as it was night time and with all the lights of London!!  :o
T's terrified at the thought of flying (just the same as I had been before) so we've never been anywhere else by plane. However, the sights we've seen during all our holidays in the Highlands of Scotland - totally amazing!!
Our only other holiday abroad was when we went by ship to France with our son and his wife, really beautiful.

Hello Vicky and good to see you on SPC 19. A great start for sure!

It sounds as though you and I are very much alike; since Covid we've been having our shopping delivered and have kept it up that way as DH has awful problems with his lower spine and lugging shopping from the car to the house, quite a way, certainly took its toll on both of, us but especially hubby. Village shops only accept payment by cards now which is a bit of a pest. So the only one way I get money for SPC is by transferring it from our account over to one I set up especially for SPC.

I dearly hope prices don't go up any higher than they've already gone to, but they've certainly threatened to if taxes rise next month! 😡 All the best to you and all us non shop shoppers, we definitely need it for certain.
    Take care.
Have a Really WONDERFUL SUNDAY folks.

    Sue

I know what you mean Sue. I find the rigmarole of flights quite stressful so tend to limit my air travel. I also very much understand the outstanding beauty of the Scottish Highlands and would take that as my choice of getaway if it was just down to me.

I found and potted my first 5p of roadkill for SPC19 tonight. Glad I went for an evening walk now even though it was very blustery.
