I went for the easy access account and all appeared to go well, the only thing I did notice was when I filled out the Amazon form at the bottom it said easy access ISA and not savings account which I was sent to and applied for? So I don't know if I will get the extra £10.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
After opening Easy Access and Limited Access accounts (both tracking in TCB), also considering opening a Fixed Saver and depositing the minimum £500……pays 3.6% so with the £25 cashback this seems like a no brainer also? Am I missing anything?0

Well, it might not track. I opened the same two accounts as you yesterday, sure as much as I can be that the same procedure was used for both (I'm aware of the usual malarky about cookies & browsers). One has tracked, one hasn't (claim raised).jaypers said:After opening Easy Access and Limited Access accounts (both tracking in TCB), also considering opening a Fixed Saver and depositing the minimum £500……pays 3.6% so with the £25 cashback this seems like a no brainer also? That offer looks far less attractive if you have to tie up £500 with only a possibility of getting the pony.0 -
Bad deal if cashback doesn't track. Opening so many accounts could be seen as taking advantage/abuse and cashback to be rejected and only available for one account.jaypers said:After opening Easy Access and Limited Access accounts (both tracking in TCB), also considering opening a Fixed Saver and depositing the minimum £500……pays 3.6% so with the £25 cashback this seems like a no brainer also? I know that the Amazon voucher is only 1 voucher but I can’t see anywhere that cashback is only payable once?pecunianonolet said:

True, bad deal if cashback doesn’t track or payment is declined. There is do far no reason to believe that Santander don’t pay - I had cashback payment for two current accounts, the debit card and the S&S ISA, along with several Amazon vouchers. I now have a few more in the pipeline, so we‘ll see what happens but I am hopefulpecunianonolet said:

I have found with TCB that if you make multiple "purchases" from the same site within a short window (say within the same hour) then the latter ones often won't track automatically as they'll assume you were redoing or refreshing the first application.flaneurs_lobster said:

Spreading out the applications a bit should avoid the issue.1 -
I've found it varies by vendor on how the integration works. For example on ebay then I can buy an item in the app and then remember to go to TCB a few hours later it will still track. I can then buy an item later in the day forgetting to click the TCB link at all and it will still track because of the clicking the link for the other item earlier in the day. I miss the ebay Necatar points they were great for 'stacking' the discounts. If anyone else buys on ebay it's worth registering to collect Paypal points and using that as your payment method (you can still use a credit card on Paypal for card cashback/stoozing). Ebay even give me vouchers to encourage me not to use Paypal for the next few transactions.dcs34 said:I have found with TCB that if you make multiple "purchases" from the same site within a short window (say within the same hour) then the latter ones often won't track automatically as they'll assume you were redoing or refreshing the first application.2 -
My first 4 accounts tracked fine, but the last 2 I did (the fixed ISA and the Edge Saver) haven't tracked, yet.
Especially with the Edge one, I'm a bit suspicious of the click through integrity, as Santander makes you open a new window to log in to online banking before letting you apply, wondering if that breaks the link. Could be a ball ache to claim as it was the one account that never sent me an email with the OLA reference on it...

Just raise a missing cashback claim if you can't see it tracked after a couple of days
Too late now for your existing applications, but for future reference: the OLA is displayed on the application acceptance screen, so it's a good idea to make a note of it then, just in case no email ever arrives.0
