well I did the investment account last night and it's not tracked yet. I know it says to give it a day but I'm already suspicious - I already have a CS login (with no actual accounts open) and it led me around the houses, initially trying to direct me to the app (which I'd previously uninstalled) and then getting me to go through the log in process twice before it opened the account. And in the process there was a second 'accept cookies' prompt.

So basically it all felt very messy - let's see if it tracks before I do the ISA

Interested in how long it took to initially track for anyone else that's tried it…

I opened an account last night and received the tracking email almost instantly.

I've never had a CSD account, opened the ISA first and it all went through smoothly. In the original TCB page it stated my visit was tracked successfully. The deposits aren't showing yet though. But nothing is showing in the TCB dashboard. I'm ambivalent about the GIA I opened shortly after, but definitely I will be chasing up the initial one if needed. I feel like it might only show in TCB once the investments have been verified after the funding window, esp as it states to wait 100 days before submitting a manual claim. I must concede however it is a long time since I used TCB, just started using again this month, so maybe it should actually be showing in the dashboard by now.

interesting… did you allow it to take you via the app to open the account, or did you click on the 'find out more' button for the specific type of account, and open it entirely via the website?

I've submitted 2 missing claims for CSD, and also 1 for Shepherd's Friendly that I purchased on Thursday. They all show as 'clicks' in My Top Merchants, and the clicks that I purchased them via were all listed in the Missing Claims steps. But as I say, nowhere on the Dashboard, and no emails. With CSD it does at least say 'within' 100 days, so 1 day is within 😀

Charles Stanley Direct - S&S ISA

Completing the application, this is in the Declaration I have to agree to

I hereby apply to subscribe for a Charles Stanley Direct Stocks & Shares Individual Savings Account (ISA) for the tax year 2026/27 and each subsequent year until further notice. I declare that I will not subscribe to any other Stocks & Shares ISA in the same year that I subscribe to this Stocks & Shares ISA.

Hard to believe that an organisation the size of CS just haven't got round to changing the wording of this in two years. Have I misunderstood this restriction? Ignore it?

Been here before, I have trouble signing declarations I know to be untrue even if they are unenforceable and erroneous in their application.

It didn't bother me. Probably backside covering in case people do multiple £20K subs in the same year, then they'd have this to fall back on. As long as I am staying on the right side of the legislation, all good as far as I am concerned.

I opened the GIA back in March. Initially tracked at zero then a few days later a new entry for £150.

Totally agree about being messy when I tried to open an ISA so I didn't bother as I'm not convinced they will pay out twice.

I just ignored it and accepted the declaration. It's wrong: Isa regulations now have no such restriction and a company can't force you to subscribe to just one S&S Isa per year.
