Santander Amazon opening offer x2

I had my 123 lite closed down recently, along with all the rest of them, and have been considering opening an edge account.
I've just applied for this offer, which is enough incentive to go ahead.
I'll have to update my DDs manually though. If I had asked them to convert my ordinary account I would have kept account number, sort code and DDs.0 -
I use Amazon lots so could I just buy 30 x £5 gift cards to qualify? If not, what's the easiest way to qualify?

Yes, that would be fine.SickGroove said:I use Amazon lots so could I just buy 30 x £5 gift cards to qualify?1 -
Due to forced change over from 123Lite to Edge Current account I suffered a loss in cashback but its not too bad. This month my 1% cashback was over £2 more than the £3 fee. I`m happy getting paid £2 a month for an Edge Current account. If Santander do not change the cashback rules the pay out can only get larger as bills will surely increase eg recent massive increase in water rates.Nebulous2 said:I had my 123 lite closed down recently, along with all the rest of them, and have been considering opening an edge account.

Surely you can still upgrade your ordinary account to Edge if you want to?Nebulous2 said:I had my 123 lite closed down recently, along with all the rest of them, and have been considering opening an edge account.

No need for this new account to be Edge, or even used at all once the offer has been used.2 -
Nice will apply via topcashback for an extra £20 cashback and go for the free everyday current account.Then will make 30 x £1 payments to my Premium Bonds0

I hope you are sure paying to your premium bonds will work, others have reservations on that one. It may well have to be purchases and not just transfers.TheMod1 said:Nice will apply via topcashback for an extra £20 cashback and go for the free everyday current account.Then will make 30 x £1 payments to my Premium BondsI choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -

It has worked before as still classed as a purchase, also could use it to pay off my credit card as Be Clever With Your Cash have suggested1 -
Have Santander had this offer before and it's worked? I know it did with TSB and Halifax Reward in terms of meeting their criteria but eg Chase are much more tightly definedTheMod1 said:trickydicky14 said:
