I’ve used the self checkouts for the Apple Pay ones but used my phone to pay rather than the actual card as assumed it would be ok as it’s using the card. The “ card payment to x “ and “ purchase - domestic “ ones are all ones done to pay for various online things so not sure why some show as one thing and some as others when all done the same way 🤷🏼♀️trickydicky14 said:
If the truth be known, I don't think anyone knows. I'm not risking it as I would hate to loose £100 so it's the self check out at Tesco's for me.Clare43 said:Just double checking - I’ve used my card for a variety of things but when I look at the transactions some show as “ card payment to x “ some as “purchase - domestic “ and several as “ Apple Pay “. All the transactions are cleared. Does this matter ? Will they still all count for the 30 card payments needed to get the voucher ?
For example I’ve bought 2 Amazon gift cards on my Amazon account and they both show as
“ purchase - domestic “ but when I bought some books on the account that’s showing as “ card payment to Amazon “. So 3 transactions all done in the same way but showing as 2 different things 😫. Think I’m just going to do everything from now in the shop using the actual card to be certainSave 12K in 2020. Number 130 -
I opened my santander account on Tues, still saying in the app "debit card being created" anyone know how much longer this will take? thought I might have been able to add it to google pay by now, as regard to the 30 transactions, im playing it safe and doing the tescos self checkout option, dont see the point in risking it for £1000

As long as you use the debit card 30 times to buy stuff, I can't see there being an issue, as your using it to actually buy/pay for stuff ie vouchers, tickets, transport etc1

My card took five days to arrive, I think they say up to a week.FUrake said:I opened my santander account on Tues, still saying in the app "debit card being created" anyone know how much longer this will take? thought I might have been able to add it to google pay by now, as regard to the 30 transactions, im playing it safe and doing the tescos self checkout option, dont see the point in risking it for £100I choose the rooms that I live in with care,

As I say, no one knows it's all speculation the only way to be sure is use the card at a check out. It's a pain for some but the bigger pain would be NO £100.Clare43 said:

I think the description of the payment depends on how long after the transaction you look at your bank account (there have been some previous posts about this issue).Clare43 said:

In itself, the fact that a transaction is described as "card payment to" isn't a reason to worry. This is how all my purchases at the Tesco checkout are described. These were all done with a physical card.1 -
If ApplePay was excluded, it would say so in the offer terms.Clare43 said:Just double checking - I’ve used my card for a variety of things but when I look at the transactions some show as “ card payment to x “ some as “purchase - domestic “ and several as “ Apple Pay “. I have 6 transactions at Sainsbury's (so far) that say 'CARD PAYMENT TO SAINSBURYS S/MKTS ON 05-11-2025' ... three for £0.03, two for £0.02 and one for £0.01 ... any guesses?0

A small carrot? A grape, though I think all grapes are now pre-packaged? A very small tomato, like a cherry tomato?dealyboy said:I have 6 transactions at Sainsbury's (so far) that say 'CARD PAYMENT TO SAINSBURYS S/MKTS ON 05-11-2025' ... three for £0.03, two for £0.02 and one for £0.01 ... any guesses?1
