CRAZY LATE SERVICE OF 2 PCN

Hi UMKOMAAS
Did the dumbest thing, found the right guy at Savills, told him what had happened only to discover Savills doesn’t manage Elk Mill.
They were amazing with me and I learned a lot, they are absolutely in disbelief about the whole thing. We discovered that the owners British Land manage the site themselves and apparently it’s up for sale. Also there is concern that I have received two tickets for the exact same incident?
What is also strange is that there’s no website for Elk Mill and no listed numbers to get in contact with anyone.Safe to say before I get into conversation with British Land I’ll make certain first that they do deal with the site themselves lol
Ive got several numbers to try and get in contact with BL tomorrow.5 -
In my experience, British Land are in the pockets of PPCs but raise the complaint anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So so sad it wasn’t Savills.
I will give British Land a go because this is enormously embarrassing or maybe they just don’t care.
Can they issue two tickets for the same incident?2 -
No. One PCN per parking event unless the vehicle is stationary for >24 hours, which is another parr of the scam because in the civil enforcement world a car that doesn't move is a "continuous contravention" and subsequent charges issued must be cancelled on appeal.Dirool said:So so sad it wasn’t Savills.

22 days after the incident they charged me for failure to display my Blue Badge and I appealed and paid a £20 reduced fee.
54 days after the very same incident they charged me an additional £100 for overstaying around one hour. Now my appeal has failed with Nexus does this mean I have to appeal to POPLA about the two ticket scam?0 -
Please can you post both the PCNs redacting your name/address/car registration. I want to check the dates and times etc.

Hi Guys SUCCESS!!!!!!Sorry to be quiet but I wanted to wait till I had it in writing before I notified you. ( you never know if any lowlifes from Nexus look at forum)
British Land told me the outcome on the telephone last Wednesday.
This morning I received a Nexus letter say parking charge dropped and that it ends the matter.
I telephoned British Land and the person I spoke with was horrified at the way I’ve been treated and immediately passed it on to the senior manager over the actual shopping centre.
The female manager was equally horrified and said a Blue Badge was sufficient to demonstrate a medical emergency and that Nexus had no right to be so excessively intrusive especially dealing with such an intimate medical condition. She was also shocked that Nexus demanded to see my confidential bank statements to prove I bought Loperamide.
This has triggered an internal investigation into Nexus’s uncouth conduct.
British Land insisted that I DO NOT send them any private medical evidence as I had been embarrassed enough by Nexus.
The manager also told me that under the circumstances I shouldn’t have paid the £20 fine for not displaying my Blue Badge in an emergency and insists that Nexus give me a full refund !
There was also concern that I shouldn’t have received second ticket for overstaying as it was a singular event which caused both the failure to display a Blue Badge and the overstay.
i have also asked to be kept informed whether discipline has been administered to handler and his weird perverse conduct.
I can show you both tickets and my Nexus victory letter minus id if anyone interested.8 -
Good result.
Interesting to see how blinkered landowners are to the actions of the private parking companies they employ. Can't understand why they always think a bunch of ex-clampers in suits would have any ethics.4 -
Brilliant news, well done for calling out their behaviour. Let's hope it doesn't get conveniently forgotten about
