I too have a glove monster. Mine in particular takes the right hand

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    FRUGALNESS FOR TODAY.
•Had a lovely walk and a picnic, added bonus didn’t have to pay for parking. •Youngest and I have finally had a discussion about the sheer amount of snacks they consume, what they consume and the cost. We have agreed that they will start to buy them as a move towards being able to budget more. I said I will buy healthy snacks yoghurt etc but the rest needs to come from their pocket. This should save us about £30 to £40 a month.

I was going to go to the allotment this afternoon on my bike but I seem to have pulled a muscle in my shoulder from putting the ramp away on the car. Ho hum

We have a sock monster in our house. Mostly it likes Mr KK’s socks but occasionally it likes to snaffle one of mine! 😉

Well done for the conversations about consumption costs with Youngest.

Didn’t get up till late yesterday as felt a little bit under the weather. Decided to read through some old entries. Hmmm set lots of goals that didn’t happen . Losing weight, becoming fitter, time for me just didn’t happen. Same old story, no willpower, staying power or too easily distracted from my targets. Lots happened since the start of the diary. Are we in a better place? That’s something to ponder on.

    FRUGALNESS FOR YESTERDAY
    • broad beans have been sown and covered with mesh (reclaimed from the scrap pile at the allotments)to stop critters pinching them or eating the shoots.
    • harvested celery, swede and parsnips.
    • not necessarily frugal but applied for 3 jobs today.
    • made a large and tiny veggie shepherdless pies for tomorrow, used homegrown bay leaf, swede, potatoes ,celery and parsnips.
    • tea was homegrown roasted tomatoes, basil and feta cheese with pasta. Yummy.
    • put some of my 2026 dried flower (cosmos and candelua) seeds and swiss chard and dill seeds into recycled envelopes. Still got my freckle lettuce seeds to do. Also having a go at saving tomato seeds this year.
    • no money spent.
Mr 🐞last day of one of his part time jobs, so let the belt tightening commence. Let’s hope it won’t be too tight and we can still breathe 🤣.
