Could be greent.
Walked miss giddychops very early yesterday to avoid the heat. Appointment at the chiropractors. Discovered this morning after the mass bra cull, that the only 2 bras I have were both on the washing line🤣. So combined my trip for my appointment with bra shopping. Needed a bigger size and I’m trying some unwired ones for the first time(£62). After my appointment I went to the local retail park as need a new bathroom light pull, (£4 in the sales) and then called into GO as I wanted some black work boots for the allotment. I need something to support my ankles and wide toes ( to accommodate insoles, which I also ordered today £72). Discovered why my previous one were causing me issues. My old one are a 5 ( bought off V),but found a pair today size 4 that fit perfectly. Now my feet haven’t shrank, so I deduced that most work boots are designed for men. A women’s size 5 is not the same size as a man’s size 5, so no wonder I was having issues. Anyway they were in the sales(£30), fit perfectly and support my ankles.
Had a lovely long chat with a friend in the afternoon before picking up the youngest. Managed to find a new to me sun hat (£2.50) in the chazzer. Managed to peel off the awful sparkly band, will do for the allotment.
Too hot for me today, so I cleaned and tidied the airing cupboard. Sold a brand new wash bag on V that I decluttered . I then cleaned the downstairs bathroom. Cleaned all the tiles, cupboards, window and scrubbed the doors. Decluttered the cupboards. Identified 2 items to sell in the winter. Threw various items, 2 boxes off opened sanitary boxes that I will take to work. Found liquid soap which can go to the plot. Decided to do the downstairs hall way as well. Door, walls, pictures and skirting cleaned. Several items binned and several items put aside to sell once cleaned up.
Bigger jobs identified .
HALLWAY- Walls need painting (paint already bought).
- Make new door curtain ( I already have the material).
- New photos for the family wall need printing.
- Plants need potting on
Right going to try and get some more sleep. 😴

That's an impressive Ta Da list! Good news on the bargains, too, to help counteract the total spend!
It's going to be even hotter today, your new hat may get some exercise.

New hat did the job cherryfudge. Yesterday morning I got miss giddychops out nice and early. Then went to the allotment, transported my bean seedlings up to the potting shed and watered all the seedlings really well. Each short row got a full watering cans worth. Then hoed all the other areas and then the sun did its work on the hoed off weeds. Got my sweetcorn in 🥳. Fine weeded the carrots 🥕. Watered my neighbours plants again as they still not able to come up, although they did text late yesterday to say they would be up today.
Phone call from the eldest to say they had set off, but had to turn back as their car was making an awful noise ( mot was only 3 weeks ago). Luckily there is a direct train, so they were still coming but couldn’t go and see my best friend who they had arranged to see on the way to us. Just glad they were sensible. We discussed at what point (£) do they scrap the car, as it’s 20 years old and later on this year they are moving into the city centre, so won’t need ( rather than want ) a car probably for another 2 years and there is a direct train to us. Hopefully it won’t come to this.
Managed to keep the house relatively cool as we kept all the curtains shut and only opened once the sun had moved around the house. All the washing dried.
We decided to look at organising a family holiday later this year. Managed to find a reasonably priced cottage near Hadrians wall so Mr🐞and the eldest can finish their walk( eldest injured their leg on day 2 of the walk last year). YHA for one of the days, so I’m not constantly driving them. Both kids have agreed to pay a 1/4 🥰. We will based in a town, so the youngest and I can go explore. Really happy as everybody’s needs will be met🤞.
Sold an item in V and had 2 ridiculous offers for an item on E.
Right need to get miss giddychops out before it gets 🥵.

miss giddychops is not amused. The eldest said she smelled (old dog smell I suspect), so this morning she has had a shower in the garden and now smells of coconut 🥥. 🤣. Apparently dogs should not smell of coconut they should smell of dog. Apparently her silence can be bought with half a cup of food as compensation.

Holiday booked🥳. Mum and I went to a craft fair yesterday. Spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around chatting to local artists. We chose our favourite artists. The most interesting one was bespoke funeral urns. Apparently based on Neolithic and Bronze Age urns. Mum has decided this is what she wants so we are going to make an appointment with the person who makes them. The price is on par with what funeral directors charge. This set us off on a bizarre tangent and kept us laughing for most of the morning. To the point we had tears streaming down our face and struggling to breathe.
Had a lovely couple of days with the eldest. Took them for their train and then called at the plot to water the greenhouses. Good job we did as the tomatoes were struggling, lost 1. Lots of watering and had the doors open. Went back for a couple of hours yesterday evening once it had cooled down 🤣. Lots of watering and mulching to prevent water loss. Leek bed digging and planting continues. Hoed.
Today we were here (at the plot) by 750am. Already very hot by that time. Today we got the indoor cucumbers into place with their netting . Sowed basil and got the last 2 tomato plants in. Emptied a compost bin as we put 6 courgettes in. Water is disappearing fast 4 water butts are empty and the other 17 are half full. I suspect 1st week of June it will be gone. Pruned the grapevine, it’s looking like it went be a bumper year in there🥳.
We came back up to the plot about 6pm, so time for me to get back to workLove 🐞

Yesterday evening at the plot we mowed all the paths and used the grass as mulch. Another 60 leeks went in. I may have sown too many leeks as I have a couple more trays. Might see if my allotment neighbours ( still ill) want some. The breeze picked up which meant it was more pleasant to move around. Some elephant garlic was sending out scrapes , so we harvested those. Hopefully next time the oven is on , they can be roasted and added to butter. The bees are loving the herbs( chives and thyme) as they are in flower.
My new insoles arrived yesterday, our poor postie looked shattered. Offered them a drink.
Today I’m at the plot again for a couple of hours, before going to volunteer this pm.
Right time to get back to itLove 🐞

More leeks planted yesterday 🤣. Hoed. Sown more parsnips, these are my nemesis 🤨. I think out of the 5 short rows I’ve sown , only 1 plant has grown😤. Harvested some radish and lettuce for lunch. 🥪. Hoed again. Not sure what else I did up there. Oh I remember I watered all the greenhouses.
Went to the chazzer and the person I worked with was apparently on holiday. Due to it being a specific job I do for the charity( I photograph, measure and pack eBay items), I actually couldn’t do anything as they tell me what needs sorting that day. I was a little disappointed that they hadn’t taken the time to contact the volunteer coordinator to pass on a message. Especially as I’d gone in the other day to leave them a message that I had to rearrange my day. I know that they got it as one of the shop staff said they had been in the previous day. Anyway maybe they had child care issues or something.
Mr 🐞and I was supposed to be sorting out the front garden, but he’d had a fall at work so was feeling a bit battered and bruised.
Today the youngest is volunteering, so I’m at the plot. Just put in 9 brussel sprout plants in. Decided to plant like they do on lanzarote. Hard to describe. Partially fill a hole with compost, water, plant in, then build a small wall round to keep the moisture in. I’ve added an upside down hanging baskets to protect them from the pigeons. Not a great description but it will go.
Right best go do some more.

Today I have hoed again. Watered again. All the sprouts are in. Wigwam’s installed. Crown prince pumpkins(5) are in with wind walls built round them. Emptied one of the compost bins, lots of lovely worms. Super happy about this as I’ve been concerned due to the lack of wormage in our soil. In fact it’s not soil it’s just dirt. Hopefully using green manures and what little compost the plots produce, will turn the dirt back into soil. Climbing beams are out to harden off. Still waiting for the parsnips to raise their heads. Welsh onion and basil seedlings are through though🥳.
Took the drill back to SF apparently they can send the battery somewhere to be sorted. Drill is just over 2 months old and one battery will not charge. Other than that not a lot of mse hereLove 🐞
