Still waiting for the parcel to be picked up from Monday. Ended up phoning yesterday and they gave me some hogwash of the driver came but you weren’t in. Asked what time they had come. They came 2 hrs before my slot which I queried and then they said oh actually we don’t know what time they came, but it would have been in your slot time. Hmmmmmm no I don’t think so as there is a sign on my door to come to the side door and knock loudly and I was sat opposite the door. Think I was dealing with Pinocchio. So apparently they are coming today🤣. If they don’t come today I will contact the buyer. 3 days of waiting is not worth the £10 I will receive for the item.Sat and finally decided to what to do with my inheritance, now Mr🐞 is unable to drop a day. So sat and looked at various options and decided to lock some away for a year and some that is easier to access in case of an emergency. We’ve also decided to stay put until Mr🐞 retires in 14years time. Neither of us can face moving and when he retires we’re hoping to move nearer to the coast which would mean 2 moves😱. Plus it’s expensive and stressful. He had hoped that decluttering etc could be put on hold, but I’ve said it needs sorting. Inspired by dfwb321 to look at our rooms differently and make them work for us better. I hoping to turn one of the rooms into a sanctuary for yoga etc. This requires no outlay just moving stuff. We have decided that we need to invest in a new kitchen as mine is falling apart and storage is limited due to the terrible design. In our last house Mr 🐞fitted it but he’s reluctant to do this one as my dad is no longer around to help or advise him. Although the thought of work people in the house, the mess 😱😱😱😱😱. Anyway something to ponder.Love 🐞

Forgot to say I had a phone call about a Christmas job and had to fill in the right to work online forms this morning. Hopefully they have took onboard I’m a carer. If I get it the money will pay for the hoist adaptations. Anyway 🤞

Every day for 14 years using a falling apart, awkward to use, kitchen versus a few weeks disruption and 13 and a half years in a workable kitchen - definitely one choice is worth it
Agree its good to keep decluttering now. Tell mr L putting it away for 14 years won't make the job easier. You'll be thankful you did it, sitting in your fresher decluttered repurposed rooms using every inch of your home. 😃

Investing in the kitchen is a great idea - perhaps one to save for warmer weather so you won't be paying to heat a space where people are traipsing in and out, and you aren't struggling to provide hot meals. That would give you time to plan and get recommendations, too.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Daisy 1571- plus I don’t want to be hauling stuff at 67. I’d rather do it now when I physically able. I’m eyeing up selling a bookcase that is surplus. I’ll get some polish out and give it a good clean. There is a child’s physio bench to list as well. Just getting rid of those will give us quite a bit more space it the yoga to be room.Depends on how long my oven will last cherryfudge, but in principle a good idea.
Had another phone call about a very part time but permanent job. Interview next week, it’s about 6 1/2 hours a week.I was hoping to speak to the youngest about money/budgeting today but the world was just too much to handle. They hit a wall mentally and physically today. They were literally up for an hour before they were dropping off. I encouraged them to go back to bed. They came down for tea and then went back to bed. 🤞 they have recovered enough to into college tomorrow. They been busy every day for the last week with no down time and is now paying for it. They looked shocking. They really have an inability to pace themselves.Money wise cashed another £1 from completed on V.Love 🐞
