Finally got figures from OH, so have pressed submit.

Today's Frog job was dealing with the tomato plant roots, now safely in the garden bin. and potting up the biggest of the four broad bean plants in a mixture of potting compost, homemade compost and leafmold. Hard work because it's all quite soggy, but it's done. There's a batch of green tomato chutney in the slow cooker which a commenter on the blog recipe said took her an hour on High and four on Low. Mine's been on High for seven hours, it smells gorgeous but it's nowhere near ready. I'll switch it off at bedtime and restart it tomorrow if necessary.Paperwork has been shuffed, a bit of vacuuming done, and preps started for a nifty overnight to France this Sunday. I also checked all the dog's medicines and drugs and thought I'd skipped a worming but found it in my diary in April so I've dosed her up with that as it's due, and her flea and tick treatment so she can go to the dog-sitter while we're away.Better is good enough.6

Well done for eating your frogs, eltee xx, and ignoring the builder, YL xx
For a minute I thought you were in a rage, Kaz!
Hope you've had a fun day with your DGC, Jazee.
Early this morning I received a text from the friend I was supposed to visit, asking to postpone again - she had forgotten hat she had to go on a course today. Instead, I suggested to DH that we had a day out, taking Rosie with us, which will leave me free to visit my friend on Thursday or Friday instead. We opted to go to Valliland, to see the Diwali decorations at this NT property - and very beautiful they were too: well worth a long drive. We sat outside for lunch and again later for a cuppa before we came home, I went round the house first, leaving DH with his second cup of coffee and some treats for Rosie, then I took Rosie for a walk while he went round the house. He really enjoyed it and thanked me by buying me a packet of dark chocolate covered chocolate-and-ginger fudge. Sadly, although I would have fallen on it with glee a few months ago and probably eaten half the packet in one sitting, I am now deliberately avoiding anything that is mainly sugar and/or fat, so it should last me until Christmas at least. I've asked him not to buy me any more sweets until the last piece has gone from my glass ginger jar - we'll see if he can restrain himself!
Before we went out I put stew in the SC (it's now ready to eat) and cooked and sieved the blackcurrants with some apples from DS1 (and they're ready to make into jam tomorrow) Apart from loading, switching on, and unloading the DW and decluttering about a quarter of a tankful of DH's petrol, I haven't really flown much. But we've all had a good day, which is far more important than housework.

Sounds like a lovely day Ionafan.
The soft play hour was good. The rest of the day DGD2 was a little s....... I certainly would not leave her on her own in a room with her baby brother.
Dailies are done. Poppet had two walks but neither of us was feeling it for the last one so just fifteen minutes. Now relaxing.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Washing line dried. Old car taken to garage for new water pump. Popped into 'work' to do a couple of quick jobs. Proper tea made and enjoyed - cottage pie.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
Woke up for the loo (after about 5 hours uninterrupted sleep - which is a mega acheivement for me), couldn't get back to sleep so gave up trying and arose at 7ish. Had a cuppa and been chatting fluff with DS, who also suffers with terrible sleeping pattern.
Weather a bit meh, neither one thing or the other, hope it makes up it's mind. Rough plan for today is to do all levels from Valli's lovely list, plus some other bits. Thursday is normally bedroom day but it's overdue following our unwellness/CBA.

Morning all. Hope you're doing well today.
I was up early as I needed to shower, dress etc and walk Poppet as an important delivery is due today. Wordle in six, no lines on connections and strands with umpteen hints. With the exception of floors I have done all of today's list and s&sd bathroom and downstairs loo. Admin is up to date and I have a couple of parcels ready to post later when I go out for my exercise class. And it's only 10am.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Wow Jazee! *kudos*WM twirling with two pairs of shoes that can take that treatment along with a few dark coloured things. I'm about to pot up the chutney because I think I usually take it too far and this time I'd quite like it to be a little bit looser. I think it's had about 12 hours in the slow cooker all told but if it turns out as beautifully as I think it will it will have been worth it, and it's a lot less hassle than putting it on a gas hob in a big pan. No spits and spats for a start, and no threat of sticking.Better is good enough.6

Thanks HB. Today has shown me that when I'm well and not overwhelmed with paid stuff I do actually have the energy to do stuff.
Sofa throws have been changed. Two wash loads are on the line. Fireplace cleaned. Chairs cleaned. Kitchen sink shined. Windows in living room cleaned. Downstairs floors swept and mopped.Spend less now, work less later.5
