its as if nobody on this thread has actually looked into this in more depth.Suzycoll said:SevenOfNine said:Not sure it this has already been posted. Email from Ryanair to advise "going fully mobile app QR boarding passes from 12 Nov, PAPERLESS".
Complaints from various older generation via AGE UK etc as not everyone has a Smartphone! At least it's pushed Ryanair to advise "check in on-line before arrival & a staff member at the airport will assist", video doesn't explain if that will be the same on return flight check-in. All a bit vague.

Recently my daughter damaged her phone en route to the airport & boarded using the paper copy she had printed.0 -
It shouldn't be an issue when implemented. BUT no idea for how long they'll have staff present to assist those without the necessary technology. Or how it's going to work on return flight from foreign airport?
I'll print the bar code version (which I gather still appears), screenshot the QR (apparently not 'just' the QR is required, not sure what displays with it though), & figure out how to get it into the Google Wallet (installed it but not something I'd bother with if I don't have to).
I'll find out if my old Samsung even has the capability to display the QR when I try to check in 60 days from return flight (so I can check us both in/back at the same time).
Ryanair have already pushed our outbound flight back by NINE HOURS from what was a sociable time, & I dread to think what & when I'll find out if they plan the same for our inbound flight!
Technology is clearly the way forward, hackers are already enjoying it!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
I've booked flights with them prior to the change - I received an email telling me I had to have the ticket on a mobile device and printouts wouldn't be accepted.TELLIT01 said:I wonder what they will stay to customers who purchased tickets before the change was announced. As it's Ryanair the response will probably be "tough"
It's such a silly change - I really can't understand why paper tickets are a problem!2 -
If the app works why wouldnt it?SevenOfNine said:

You may be thinking of Mr O'L, who is indeed very rich, but doesn't own Ryanair (it's part of a plc).1 -
Thanks F-L, I was indeed referring to the fact that my Samsung has a stupid owner (me), not the airline owner!flaneurs_lobster said:
