All setup now, got the app working and I've made my deposit and tested a withdrawal. My chase saver expires in a few weeks and would drop from 4.35% to 2.8% I think it already dropped from 4.55% in August. Glad I've persevered with a few phone calls to Ulster to get the Internet banking resetup. The app is like the RBS one and easy to use.

I won't qualify for another Chase boost or for Chip as I've exhausted both so really happy to get an easy access for a year. I can't see 4.5% with virtually no upper limit for deposits being beaten. I know it's a 2.75% bonus rate but I still can't see it being beaten
Hi, how many boost offers did you have from chase?

I withdrew everything 7 months ago and got my first boost offer a month later so hoping for another offer now that funds have been transferred out again.
This was my second time i think, first time a few years ago when I opened the current account and then earlier this year,so for me I highly doubt I'll get another boost

It still says 3rd October when it updated. I think it'll update at midnight

Mine has updated too, however it is still saying "This is based on your balance at close of business on 03 October 2025" when the balance was £0.

In "My transactions" if I click on individual transactions, the Date Posted, Transaction Date and More Information have a variety of dates.

    It's a bit weird.

I think it's safe to say from now we're earning the higher interest though

Run away from this product. It’s fundamentally broken. You can’t withdraw funds except for £750 per day. There is no guarantee that you will be able to sign up for the biometrics function on the app that allows you to make larger payments. Despite what the product information states, you cannot make payment via telephone banking, and you can’t use the website unless you request a card reader and card to use with it. Which can’t be requested until after the account is set up. You also can’t transact at any other NatWest or RBS branch, only physical Ulster Bank branches in Northern Ireland. You can’t even close the account to get your money back as they can only send the money to another Ulster Bank account. The mind boggles. It is truly the worst, most kafkaesque experience I have ever had with a financial firm.

My Ulster "Anytime" banking card and card reader allow me to setup a new payee, then can transfer up to 20K every working day. Ulster have had several great rate Savings accounts over the years. I opened a current account as a backup transfer method with them, and card arrived quickly. I am in England BTW.

works great for me with instant transfer up to £20k with no card reader. Use the app for the best experience.

Same for me. It's a lovely account to have, and getting a card + card reader (if needed - any Natwest or Nationwide reader will do) and/or setting up the app is a doddle.
