Also Natwest and RBS. I've reached the magic £5k long time ago so there's no need funding them.clairec666 said:
I imagine a lot of those people with 50+ accounts are not funding them all, and have opened a lot of them speculatively.subjecttocontract said:Surely a regular saver ceases to be a regular saver if it's not being funded ?
Don't there need to be some basic ground rules so that everyone is singing off the same hymn sheet ?
Come May this year, I'll be filling all of mine to capacity. My income fluctuates a lot throughout the year, so can't fund everything right now, but I only open accounts I intend in using.2 -
My January update

An update. At 31/12 I had 25 RS accounts totalling £40039 with a weighted average interest rate of 6.03%. Estimate interest in next 12 months at £2790. Fully funded all accounts in January at £6950.
With 3 maturities in January, I only have 3 in the next 6 months, so will look to refresh some of my fixed rate accounts (eg Lloyds) before any further base rate cuts to lock in current rates for another year.1 -
Update 14 accounts, holding approx £26K, £2950 per month. Two not further funded now ( NatWest and RBS ).1

A few changes in the past couple of months for me what with multiple Principality maturities and other changes, however total remains the same, though I am expecting 2/3 additional products to become available in the next couple of weeks.
81 held, 74 funded to the max, 3 minimally for other benefits and 4 not currently funded. Basically any account equal or greater than my highest EA held will be funded to the max, currently that's 4.50% after the recent round of cuts.
Total Fund Spread by type - 22% in Fixed rate, 78% in Variable rate
Fund spread by AER
4.50 - 4.99 = 15%
5.00 - 5.49 = 33%
5.50 - 5.99 = 19%
6.00 - 6.99 = 22%
7.00+ = 11%
All bar 10 (Suffolk) of the 81 accounts are effectively EA with the ability to either withdraw or close as required.
A shuffle to the primary accounts too, total funds per institution1. 4 accounts LOUGHBOROUGH 2. 10 accounts SUFFOLK 3, 3 accounts MONMOUTH 4. 2 accounts LEEDS 5. 4 accounts MELTON 6. 9 accounts PRINCIPALITY 5 -

Nice collection of Suffolk RSs!exel1966 said:A few changes in the past couple of months for me what with multiple Principality maturities and other changes, however total remains the same, though I am expecting 2/3 additional products to become available in the next couple of weeks.

Hi Bobbles,
now that we have Nov and Dec gone, my update is that I am down to 11 RS's now, fully fund at least 8 of them every month, the other 3, I do what I can manage but always a few quid over the minimum needed..Corduroy pillows are making headlines! Back home in London now after 27years wait! Duvet know it's Christmas, not original, it's a cover.1 -
21 fully funded in Jan moving 6150 to RS, got 11400 maturing this month, likely to reopen all maturing which I think will be lowest of 5% now.1
