Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have?

I have 65 Regular Savers, some under my OH's name which I manage. 15 of them are not being actively funded anymore as they are at or below the 5% threshold (any spare cash goes into my Cahoot SDSs)The weighted savings interest rate on my monthly contribution is 6.256%2

Update. I've opened 3 more since my initial post and my current tally of sole RS accounts is 65. Still waiting on the Scottish online version to appear so that I can make 66

My current minimum rate for considering a new account is 4.75. If a variable rate falls below 4.50% it'll be closed unless there are other perks (such as the Coventry account with monthly prize draws).1 -
Phew! All went quiet for a few days and the thread disappeared onto page 2 for a short while ... so thanks for the updates.
Some high-roller figures near the top and you may notice I've added the "Min %" column by popular demand

Ok if Min % is being added to the table I might as well add mine at 5.5% and above.
Though as I just don't have the funds to fill 60+ regular savers (yet
) I haven't opened all accounts that meet this threshold. There are about fifteen accounts that are above my minimum that I do not hold but am looking at the new Hanley 6.5% and the current account linked ones with First Direct and Virgin Money so watch this space.

Thanks for the update Bobblehat.
I imagine a few people's figures will rise over the next week with the arrival of Hanley 6.5%, the possibility that Scottish Building Society's 6.5% may become available online, and strong rumours of a Principality Christmas thingummy. I'm tempted by all of them, but haven't got the funds!1 -
Yes! I'm expecting a small flurry of updates just before or after 1st November, including adding a couple or 3 myself.clairec666 said:Thanks for the update Bobblehat.

We'll have to ask Topyam to mention there is not much RS activity going on near the middle of November and see if they can work their magic again!

I’ve kept £125 aside for Principality, assuming that it will be fixed rate, only sending £125 to Scottish BS as a result. Hanley will have to be £25 for now. I probably won’t have the funds to max it out until December, but if I wait it will probably be gone. Their last RS didn’t stick around for long as I recall.clairec666 said:Thanks for the update Bobblehat.

just discovered this thread, can I lump me and DH together for the numbers seeing as I manage them all? Just regulars right? ie not Santander edge ? I'll do from 1st November so can count the Hanley s and fingers crossed our Welsh favourite next week.If you want to be rich, never, ever have kids

Hi, Bobbles, my latest RS's total is now 18, went down to 12 for a few days but opened a few more., and I did grab the Hanley one at 6.5%
Total funding P/M is around £2800, all depends on what bills I get coming in.
I only have £770 coming in P/M, as I am not working and the funding is coming from Easy Access accounts where I put most of my inheritance.
I am hoping I can keep it going until Oct 2027 With the Manchester RS..
The main target is to get through till Jan 2027, SP kicks in then, around an extra £1000 P/M then.
Savings are for Ground Rent, service charge, any S20's that may come in and Holidays.
Manchester RS is hopefully to cover any S20's as it is £500 P/M for 2 years.
So, I am on 18 now, slipping down the charts.

. Yes you can add DH in, there are a handful of others who administer their other half's RS's and have combined the figures. Just real Regular Savers otherwise it could get very messy
I'll keep an eye open for your update in November.Compiler of the RS League Table.
