Cheap Energy Club - Deals Not Showing

Same as others, I'm an existing BG dual-fuel customer (fixed term tariff) and yesterday I couldn't see the collective BG deal in CEC, although I could see the other two collective deals. Trying again this evening and I'm now seeing a "you're not eligible for this tariff" message, which goes on to suggest this might be because I don't pay by monthly DD (actually I do) or that I wasn't signed up for the weekly email on 26/9 (actually I've been signed up for years) or that I wasn't signed up to CEC (again, I've been signed up for years) or that I was logged in using a different email address (no I wasn't).
As others have suggested, editing my current tariff details in CEC to a non-BG supplier does then make the collective BG collective tariff visible. It's around 11% cheaper than my current BG fix, with the cashback on top, so I've submitted a switch request.
It seems either the weekly email was wrong in stating that existing BG customers are eligible for the collective tariff, or the CEC website has been coded incorrectly to exclude existing BG customers.

It seems either the weekly email was wrong in stating that existing BG customers are eligible for the collective tariff, or the CEC website has been coded incorrectly to exclude existing BG customers.I'm currently with EON and it still says I'm not elligable. Some people seem to have had some luck changing their existing tariff information but I've tried a bunch of different combinations and nothing is working for me.0 -
I'm on BG for fixed electricity and Octopus for fixed gas.
I've spoken to BG who have confirmed that the MoneySaving BG tariff is NOT DUAL FUEL so I should the able to see this as an available tariff with my current BG fix on my MSE profile. However it doesn't show unless I change my electricity supplier on my MSE profile. This appears to be a bug on the MSE site - MSE please fix!
I've spoken to Octopus who have confirmed that their MoneySaving tariff IS DUAL FUEL ONLY which explains why I can't see this as a switch option unless I change my MSE profile to dual fuel. This doesn't not appear to be a MSE site bug for this reason but MSE should have explained that some of their deals are dual fuel and some are not.
Hope this helps!1 -
Can’t see the deals either - been a member for years, pay DD and am with octopus already.Apparently I am not eligible for any of the fixes despite trying many combinations of supplier and payment .. simply won’t work for me.1

I was previously on a dual fuel fixed BG tariff and successfully switched to the BG MSE Collective Nov26 tariff for both electricity and gas on 1 OctoberI'm on BG for fixed electricity and Octopus for fixed gas.
I've spoken to BG who have confirmed that the MoneySaving BG tariff is NOT DUAL FUEL0 -
Thanks for your reply HHUK. I had seen that info. on the MSE site but to be sure I called British Gas and was assured that there would be no exit fees. I signed up at 8.00am on 2nd Oct, however still waiting for confirmation from British Gas as at 7.00pm today 3rd Oct.HHUK said:
I certainly hope so - 'Existing British Gas customers can get it too, so it's a no-brainer for them (and if you're on a British Gas fix already, it won't charge you early exit fees to switch to this).'Estepona said:
I’m also an existing British Gas customer on Fixed V76. If I switch to the Collective Nov26 via Cheap Energy Club website is it absolutely certain that I will not be charged exit fees, taking into account that I would not be switching directly on the British Gas website?

I got MSE's Money Tips e-mail last night, and they admitted: "A few people had bugs with this, we think they're fixed, so try again"BIG_PANDA said:
Existing British Gas dual fuel monthly DD customer, and long time Cheap Energy Club member.mpa91 said:Existing BG electric only customer here. Also existing CGE member. All deals were showing for me this morning except the BG one.Have seemingly just resolved by changing on CGE who my provider is to someone else. All of a sudden the BG deal was available. I was subsequently able to complete a switch form without having to provide any info regarding my fictional account with another provider so will see if it goes through okay.Based on this I can only assume there is a bug with CGE or the BG deal isn’t in fact available to existing customers
Changed my existing provider in CEC to somebody else, and tried getting DD monthly deals for dual-fuel, then gas only, and, finally, electricity only. However, the BG Collective Nov26 tarrifs were not shown.
I tried again, and this time, after so many previous failed attempts, was successful in getting the BG Collective Nov26 tariff.
So my advice is, try again...1
