Wish it was me too!
:rotfl: I'm the one with the investment apartment in France! Can't sell unless I want to lose huge chunks of dosh, bought it via the French leaseback scheme - it should be okay, but its very tough financially, thats why the matched betting!

Nah, don't worry! I do love MBing - the basics I do find easy now, but still puzzled over so much - arbing, dutching, underlaying - like, people who underlay will go on for ever about finding an extra 50p on the odds, and then underlay like crazy, it seems to me. I've just now sussed about a moneybookers account, so now I also have to find an exchange that deals in euros, as I'm going to do all non-uk bookies in euros (until I launch into American dollars, that is!)
Next: I take over the world.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yes Dutching and that lot is too much for me was pleased to find 3.40/3.35 this morning not an Arb but good enough for me. I don't underlay but I do sometimes back at the bookies and then try to get lower odds at Betfair. Just a little bit if it is ages until the match starts.
I will do Euro bookies once I have completed the UK ones. You go girl you will soon have that French mortgage paid off just need the £ to get a bit stronger I guessSave £12k in 25 No 49

You do arbs! Respect! Care to go through that one for me?? :rotfl: I'd love to learn how to do arbs, actually, it keeps you using the bookies you've signed up to, I would think, and stops you looking like a bonus bagger!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

As far as I understand an ARB it is when the return will give you a small profit whichever way the result goes. 3.40/3.35 will give you a return of 97.5% so that is not an arb it needs to return over 100%. I think they are mainly found on the higher odds and I don't tend to look for anything over 10 as my BF balance is not high enough yet? I should think horses will be good for arbs but they are tricky with the rule 4 etc. Do you do the horses?Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi TG
Sorry, I had to slope off to do some work. No, I don't do horses, I'm not that fast, I think, I stick to football - so even with match odds, there are three possible results. What market do you look on? And calculating a three way arb... no clueHow much have you made on arbing so far? (she asked, v v interested!). Sorry to be nosey!

No the only arb I have ever found was on a horse. I don't do them just before the race maybe an hour before or longer. I don't know how to do 3 way ones at all. I am too scared to put lots of money on the horses so I usually only do it at low odds and at about £10 a go. Doing B*tfred at the moment and he does seem to have good odds on the horses.
Just bumped into an old friend today, he is really broke but interesting in MB so I am seeing him tomorrow to get him started. Trying to remember what I did, Quico, Coral, Betfair RAF etc etc. Phew will take a lot of explaining but will make sure he gets on to MSE for help.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Had a really nice evening with my friend saw The Other Bolyn Girl at the pictures. Really amazing costumes and very dramatic. The men and fathers are just so horrid to the woman, really sad film actually:eek: .
My friend still works where I used to work and loves it. I do feel a bit sad that I left my nice job but I did get a 25% payrise and a company car when I went to this one. Her partner has just left his job as a pharmacutical rep. Got a bit fed up and they gave him gardening leave £10k not bad but not sure i would want to be without a job right now. Hopefully he will get a job soon and they have low expenses and no children.
Had to check my MB when I got in. Now I had £120 on Newcastle Birmingham to end in a draw and £100 (free bet) on result of 1 -1. Great ends up like that and I am down to £35 in my Betfair account. Need to top it up again but means profits are now up to £733. Wonder how long it will be before I get to 4 figures? Have at least £140 still in free bets to use.Save £12k in 25 No 49
