Hi TallGirl
Reading your foray into MB with great interest. The only 2 boards I look at with any regularity are MFW and the MB boards, which I check numerous times a day
Great to see you doing so well. I'm coming up to my one year anniversary of placing my first bet in April  All the money has gone into my mortgage pot which has been a massive help to my finances.
Told a few people about MB myself but generally get told "it will all end in tears / never see a poor bookie etc etc". Took me about 2 months of reading to take the plunge and place my first bet.

Thanks Jonesy Bonesy, I agree about telling people about MB it is just hopeless but I thought if someone from MSE reads this they may take an interest. I think it helps if you understand about Quidco and cashback sites and perhaps have done a few bingo offers already. I still feel like a newbie after 2 months guess you are well into Asian Handicaps and Dutching by now.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I am into Asians, and use the trick of laying at betdaq with a -0.5 to get a really low 2% commission on footy matches.
Have to admit I don't understand dutching completely quite yet, so have never done this. Also tend not to bother with these 0-0 refund offers that regularly appear. From what I have read you only make a couple of quid and I don't thing it worth the time and effort.
Intend to move onto US bookie soon, so really need to get my head around this dutching malarchy  Key learning point here is to take things one step at a time, and only risk your money if you are entirely comfortable with the theory and maths.

Morning, off to John Lewis to spend some Pigsback vouchers on bathroom fittings. Yes I can get cashback via Quidco but you can't spend vouchers online so will spend them and then buy the rest online later on.
DH wanted to go to the Golf Club for breakfast but persueded him to have egg and soldiers as home. That is at least £20 saved - maybe we should have a mortgage pig.
Just got £10 free money to play casino with and DH got $10 so will try to see if we can turn it into real money. Needs to be wagered 350 times so it is only for fun and with have not had to deposit anything. Haven't quite got to 4 figures yet for MB, still waiting for that £50 free bet.
Also my friend who I introduced to MB send me an email saying Betfair has given him an extra £25 so he is very happy. Lets see if he carries on now.Save £12k in 25 No 49

My DH did MB last year - made about 800 quid and we put it towards a long holiday over Christmas. I'd be interested in doing it for a while, but he said he thought that you could only have one account per household at each bookie? So reading here that you have just set your DH up with some accounts, I was wondering whether he was right, or whether I could do some MB?Ali - still pretty much a newbie, need to brush up my MS habits!0

Hi Ali
Some of the bookies are partner friendly, Betfair is and Coral so you can do those. Have a search on the MB thread under Partner Friendly Bookies and you can see the list. Be careful you can always ask the CS if you are unsure. I would definitely do Betfair now they have £50 cashback on Quidco however don't get your DH to refer you as that is not allowed. I would be happy to do it if you want for an extra £25.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning, off to Kent today and feeling horrid that the lovely long weekend is gone. This will be a busy weel staying away Thursday night so better get a hotel booked. We have an account with Premier Inns but if I book via laterooms I get some really nice hotels incl breakfast and cashback on Quidco too. Have made quite a bit that way so definitely worth it.
Signed up to MoneyBackMadness a while ago have have now reached over £35 so it should eventually pay out. It is quite rubbish but have 1 or 2 good offers for bookies etc. DH has an account too and I put his detials on the referrers board on MSE. 3 people have signed up via him and I got 7 from this diary alone. The person signing up and the referrer each get £10 but not until the balance gets to over £30. Will take ages but will be nice when it clears eventually. Thanks to those who used our details to sign up.
Free bet have finally come in from VC for DH so now need to place it. Nothing on today so may wait a bit longer. Really deperate to reach the £1000 profit but want to find a good match first.
Just checked my bank account, looking a bit sad as I have money tied up in MB but just done a claim for expenses for work so will soon look better.
Can't believe we are 1 week from having complted the first year of the MFi3 quest, doesn't seem that long ago since we started. Hopefully people will start sending me their updates so we can get the chart fully updated.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks I did not know that, we didn't buy anything in the end as we didn't really like it but will bear the online option in mind.Save £12k in 25 No 49

:hello: I think with the John Lewis vouchers once you scratch off the panel it can only be used online so only scratch it off just before you are going to use it online!Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
