Thanks for the tips Taka and benbenandme so glad we didn't buy anything in the end.

On the match betting front things are a bit slow at the moment. I need 3 x £10 to get the last £50 from VC (this is DH's account) so thats fine but H*cketts is not so good. I did not realise they are so slow in paying up. My bet won yesterday afternoon and still no money apparently this is quite normal and it takes even longer to get the free bet. It is an easy one to do though, just need to deposit £38 (€50) bet that (low odds), then get the £38 bonus bet that and withdraw. No wagering requirement so will just have to be patient.

Just booked my hotel for tomorrow night via Quidco that gives me 5% cashback (£2.75) - every little helps. MoneyBackMadness is now up to £49.50 which I am quite pleased with. Nice that Sk*bet tracked for £12.50 plus I got the £50 free bet with the SUN code, should only have been £20.

Working from home today, lots to do but thinking about doing a Pilated Class, so guilty not been to the gym for over 2 months and I pay £34 a month for that. Waste of money must get back into it.

Hope you all watched It Pays to Watch yesterday, I sat there really smug as someone who will save 9 years on her mortgage and have an offset so I don't need to worry about savings accounts at the moment. Actually thought that was one of the better ones he has done still dont like the bit with a celeb.

Nearly done with my Irish bookie now just need them to pay out on Spain winning yesterday. I actually found an arb, it was 2.25/2.18 which would have given me a 16p win regardless. Sadly by the time I pressed the button is was gone. Still got a £38 bet on for a 23p loss. Totted up the profits and I HAVE HIT 4 FIGURES. So pleased in 2 months I have done over £1000 thats £500 a month, not bad but not sure I can keep that level up now unless I get a nice signup bonus. Will update my signature once I have acurate figures.

Off to the New Forest today then on to HQ for an overnighter and back tomorrow. Luckily my hotel has WIFI so can at least keep myself amused.

Well done on the MB Tall Girl. :T

I've read it through but I think I need to read it a few more times to understand it before I dip my toe in the water but it's amazing to see what can be done.

I happy to help anyone start MB, my friend is now on his second bookie and is still getting a bit stuck. Little Mama if you start with the smaller easier bookies it is not that complex.

Just got to my hotel after a horrid conversation with my boss. I know this is not really related to money saving but I am a bit upset with her right now. I work from home 200 miles away and only come up once a month for a team meeting. We don't get on really and I have to call her once a week which I hate doing as she seems to misunderstand what I say and I then read too much between the lines. I had quite a few things I wanted an opinion on or maybe some help with but I did not want to talk on the phone as I was coming up today. She agreed we could met but sadly I was 1 hour late (I did tell her this 3 hours before) so she could suddenly no longer meet. Really !!!!ed off but will at least see her tomorrow however I hate bringing my issues up in front of the whole group would rather have done it one to one.

Sorry about the rant, will chill now and then go out for a nice dinner sadly on my own.

    Thanks TG.

Just remember when you're dealing with your boss that this is a means to an end. Work is there to pay your mortgage and she's not just won the best part of a grand on MB! Come 2010 and mortgage free you may be in a position to tell her what she can do with her job....you can then sit in tomorrow's meeting with a nice warm, cosy feeling knowing just how well you are doing with your challenge.

Don't let the b*ggers get you down! ;)

    Hiya
Meeting went well but it did carry on until 4pm so did not get home until 9pm last night which is not good for a Friday. Met new boss and yes I shall be getting rid of horrid one soon. Well maybe not rid off totally but at least I won't have to call her every week. I actually think she is scared of me now which is quite funny in a way, proably can't wait to get rid of that part of her job.

Anyway I have replied to gingababe and hopefully it will help with with your first steps into MB. DH still hasn't got his £50 SNR from VC so had to email again. I have not signed up to any new bookie and DH wants to go to Macro in 5 min so don't think I shall have time. We do need to stock up but we have just been to Tesco and they were out of just about everything but we did get a nice offer on wine. 24 bottles for £80 and lots of points. Love Tesco for their Airmiles hated them for not having any stock today.

Spend so much money yesterday on food and wine the Macro bill came to over £115 but that will last us for ages. Got some good offers on their meat I thought, 6 veal steaks £12, 6 Ostrich Steaks £12 and 6 filet steaks £19 they are all individually wrapped so will make it easy to defrost. Yes we do eat wierd things and sorry to any animal lovers but I do love veal. I don't mean to get on my high horse but I grew up in the country and very close to famers. The British have a problem with eating veal so as a result of that the baby cows have to endure hours on the road to get to the continent to get slaugthered. And another thing people might not know you can't have milk without cows having calf so they are actually a by product on the milk production.

Enough of that, played golf in the mud today, lovely and sunny but quite wet. Off on a girlie weekend on the 11th so lots of drinking and partying but look forward to that. Not done any match betting today, slowing down a bit now all the big offers have been used but will keep going. Waiting for £75 of free bets before I go any further.

However it is a work day tomorrow so a new week looms.

    Morning,
1st April start of year two in the MFi3 getting lots of PM's now which is great so the new chart can be up by 17th April. I cannot belive I started with £45,500 and 1 year later I am down to £23,000. So pleased that we have done it and yes we have been lucky to get £5k inherritance and £2k from the inlaws. Will need to spend some money now on the bathroom and unless DH agrees to take some out of his flush current account it will need to go on the offset for a while. I hope it doesn't come to that and as my fitter is being very quiet at the moment we don't need to worry about it yet.

MB is still going finally got my £50 free bet from VC and £25 from Pagebet so will need to turn them into real money. I am looking at the golf as an option, there is a golfer that is looking good. At the moment the odds are 34/34 giving me a £46.22 return but if they drop to say 34/33 that means a £47.62 return. Will keep an eye on that one as it doesn't start until Thursday. I am going to try and go for things like that to get a better return now that the big sign ups have been used.

Work is actually going really well have lots of potential appointments which does make my life easier. Will need to get on with that today and book something else for the 17th April when my new boss wants to come out with me.
