Android mobile version of Outlook acting up

I view Outlook on both my pc and my mobile. My pc is working just fine, same as always. My mobile version is not.
What happens on the mobile is that when I open Outlook and it opens at the Inbox the latest email is from February, followed by one from a month earlier, and then others from over a year back. Sometimes it will after about 15 seconds suddenly show the more recent ones as I can see on my pc. I don't know what has caused this to happen.
If my mobile doesn't show me the more recent emails I can sometimes get it to behave by going to another folder and then back to the Inbox. Until the view is corrected there is no indication of any unread emails. (I open ALL my emails - it's a thing with me.)
Any ideas why this is happening and how to stop it being so silly???
